3 things for Sunday
I don't usually start or see this on weekends but I have to much to be grateful for today
I will start a post.
let me preface my list by saying that I spent yesterday in the ER. I was diagnosed
with a large blood clot in my left leg.
so here goes the list : Sorry if it gets a bit long.
1. For my family and friends who encouraged, begged, pleaded and literally dragged
me too the ER yesterday. I kept thinking my "fainting episode" Friday was simply a
flu related issue.
2. That even though it was a pain spending 7 hours in the ER - not once was I
in need of a large blood pressure cuff, extra large gown, bariatric wheelchair or
gurney.- guess I am getting close to "normal" size
.
3. The most important one of all.
FOR DVR AND HIS INSISTENCE ON AN IVC FILTER - THE DR'S YESTERDAY
WERE IMPRESSED AND TOLD ME THAT HAD I NOT HAD ONE AND NOT
GONE TO THE ER AND HAD THE BLOOD CLOT IN MY LEG TRAVELED
TO MY HEART AND LUNGS I COULD HAVE DIED -
Preop I thought a few things DVR insisted on were unnecessary and overly
precautionary - Guess this just proves too me once again what a
great Dr Dvr is. So basically my # 3 is THANK GOD FOR DVR.
So too wrap this up let me say that : If something doesn't feel right - go to the ER:
Call your Dr - don't just assume it is nothing. My family and friends insistence
may have saved my life yesterday.

((( Darla )))
I am so glad that you are ok. Those IVC filters sound a whole lot scarier pre-op than they are in reality and definitely serve a purpose!!! Dr Sofronski insisted on IVC's for all his patients when I had my surgery and I've never been sorry. I hope I never have a need for it, but I figure it's preventative!
We had a wonderful Thursday and Friday in NC. Great visit and dinner with our friends and then tons of fun on Friday at the track. Mr Mo has been telling everyone about the HUGE grin I had driving big blue on the track again.
We beat the weather back yesterday. I knew it was coming and was so hoping we would out run it and have a good driving day which we did. By the time we got to the VA border the sun was out.
Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
