NUT class at Bayview
Has anyone taken these classes for thier 6 month requirement? I just went to my FIRST one today. I have to say, I was a little bit disappointed. It didn't provide much info on what I need to do as an individual. Since I work an odd shift, I was hoping to get some tips on what to eat when. But it was more of a general overview type of thing.
I'm guessing the nutritional consult that is also required will be more individualized. However, I'm confused on when to make that appointment. Should that be done now or when it's closer to a possible surgery date?

Hi Lisa,
For me the nutritional consult had to be done prior to submitting everything to insurance. I had mine in May, with my last month of my 6-month diet being June. You will get what you are looking for during that consult. You'll get a list of foods that you can eat at each food stage, as well as info in vitamins, and some sample recipes. I saw Lauren Dimitrove (pre-op and post-op) and she's great!
