A newbie with a few questions...

I start this WLS journey in August of 2008. My surgeon is Dr. Averbach and I have Blue Cross Blue Shield through the City of Baltimore. Does anyone know anything about lapband approvals with this type of insurance? I have done my psych eval and nutrition appointments, just have one more doctor assisted weight loss visit to go. Upon my completion of my requirements are they gonna take me through alot? I am really paraniod...........Help!!!

Hi there. Welcome to the Maryland Board. I have Federal Blue Cross and I know it is different from your coverage. I know that if you call Blue Cross (Number on the back of your card) you can ask to speak to someone and they will walk you through everything you need step by step. GOOD LUCK!!!!!! ;o) ~Jilly~
