3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY - AKA TIA'S LAST DAY OF WORK!!!
1. That I'm off all next week. My one boss, the one who matters, is a decent man. I've had lots of not so decent bosses, so that makes me appreciate him all the more. Oh, yeah, and he's off today!! Woo-hoo!!
2. Christmas music - This a.m.'s selections included the Time Life Treasury of Christmas and the Irish Tenors. If you've never heard these men, they are PHENOMENAL!! I would LOVE to hear them in concert!!! It just makes my heart happy!!
3. That my baking supplies are purchased and all systems are go. I'll be getting Big Red (my super-duper-Kitchen Aid mixer) ready to rock tomorrow!!!!
I'll post next week, but since my 'net at home is down, it'll have to be when I'm at my brother's, so you may not have the pleasure of reading me as much as normal - LOL!!!!!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Tia
I say time "off" that way because I've got so much to do it won't be relaxing - but.......a busy day at home is better than a lazy day at work!!!!! LOL!!
Hugs,
Tia
Have I mentioned that folks with Thanksgiving week off .. and gloat about it .. are not very nice ??? LMAO .. have a wonderful week off. I'm just jealous .. not that I don't have the time to take . but I don't have the TIME to take it ..
1) It is Friday AND it's payday .. no special plans for the weekend .. Mr Mo's got the late job tomorrow night so I won't even see him unless I can stay awake until 11 p.m. or later .. My $$$ from payday is already pretty much accounted for. The dollars that are left need to be put aside for an upcoming payment! Next payday is going to be pretty lean too .. my kohl's and Old Navy adventures have caught up with me and the bills are due. lol
2) A repeat .. a job I enjoy. Yesterday was extremely busy .. had a couple of two hour meetings separated by lunch with a friend who had come down from Harford County to the first meeting. Nice to share knowledge with her and she surprised me by treating me to lunch. I DEFINITELY did not expect that. My job is project oriented, there is always something to be worked on outside of the day to day and there are days when the projects end up on the back burner because there's something breaking in the real world. I've got this morning mapped to spend some time putting a document together for our software vendor to explain a fix we need. Let's see if it happens! Then this afternoon is a monthly software status conference call/meeting with the vendor and IT staff. AND at 4 p.m. I am out the door (famous last words!!! .. when I say that I am usually here til after 5 .. )
3) Looking forward to our trip to NC and seeing friends for Thanksgiving. My plan for this weekend might involve actually putting together the scrapbook of pictures from the wedding in May so I can actually give it to Sandi and Darrell if they are there Thursday. I know that scrapbooking is an art .. and not something one does in a day .. but I'm not an artist so maybe I can throw something together in the next two days. I've got everything I need .. just have to do it.
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Hi Moie!!!!
Well, we've ALREADY established that I'm not very nice!!! LMAO!!! LOVE YOU, TOO!!! You know after all the work related drama of the past two years, I NEED this time off!!!! Not that you don't...hell, okay, I'll share with you!!!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE drive safely to NC!! I know you will, but it's a terribly busy time of year with extra nuts on the road.
I admire people who can scrapbook effortlessly - I have the creativity, I just lack the ability to sit still long enough!!! LOL!!!!
Have a great weekend!
Love you,
Tia
I want to wish you a wonderful trip to NC and I hoope you enjoy your time over there. I wish I could scrapbook with you again. I kind of wish I had not moved so far now. I miss you and everyone in MD...
If we don't get to chat before Thanksgiving have a great one!
Hugs to you and Mr. Mo from the Saget household.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Have a great week off sounds like it will be a busy one.
1. That Mom's medical scare yesterday turned out to be
nothing major: just frustrating - Mom tried to get some lab work
done and it involved going from one lab *****fused to do it ( grrrr)))
to the hospital lab which of course involved a marathon walking session.
Poor Mom got so worn out a nurse offered to get her a wheelchair and they
wheeled her all over the damn hospital. But she was feeling better last night
for which I am extremely grateful.
2. For my dear OH friends who kept me off the ledge yesterday when
my dear Dad gave only sketchy details of what was going on - Especially the friend
who somehow tracked down my work phone # LOL!!!!
3. For flannel sheets and Pjs
4. That my California cousin did get to see Mom yesterday - I was begining to think
that would not happen but they had a nice visit yesterday afternoon.
So my friends I wish you all a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving to those
who won't be around next week.

NEVER DOUBT THE POWER OF A RESOURCEFUL, DETERMINED FRIEND!!!!
I'm SO glad Mom's okay, but next time, listen to me, wouldja? You were sick over the fact that you put something off a couple of weeks ago and yet, EACH time I called you, I heard, "I'm leaving shortly....I will....." BAH!!! NOTHING is important as family and um....WHAT are they gonna do? Fire you???????
I love you, but you are SOOOOOOOOOOOO exasperating - waiting to call the doc, waiting to call the hairdresser, waiting to go home......GRRR!!!! Just DO it, wouldja????? You'd save yourself a LOT of grief!!!!
Okay, stepping off the soapbox now!!! LOL!!
Hugs,
T
I am glad to read that Mom is fine. I know you was really scared. Give her a hug from me.
Have a great day sweetie.
