Black Friday
I used to go to the Sugarloaf Craft Festival on Black Friday, but as others have said, being in crowds makes me anxious and irritable. Not to mention that I HAT standing in line. Normailly I really don't leave the house that day if I don't have to. This year I will be getting a memorial portrait tattoo of my dog that passed away last month, on Black Friday. That will be a good association!
Happy shopping!

LOL I bargain shop dont get me wrong but the whole Black Friday thing is NOT FOR ME! My girlfriends all go yearly as a matter of fact one of them sent me some of the ads this morning. Hi Steph! I don't usually make a habit of shopping on that day at all because of the crowds, and very rude people, unless I KNOW that there is something I HAVE to buy for someone. This year my Mom wants to head to Frederick for their craft fair so I think Kylie and I will join her after my OB visits.
I have stood all night waiting for best buy to open so I could get some good deals. 2 years ago I was working for best buy so I started work at 4 am and last year i was pregnant so Gino went and camped out by himself. lol
This year I will spend it in bed nice and warm ever since I lost my insulation I hat e to be cold anymore.
Enjoy shopping!

(endulge me with my long-winded story)
i was a mall marketing director for over ten years before i left the shopping center industry. let me tell you... i LOVED black friday, but not for the reasons you would think. first, from a marketing perspective, everything i had to do to prepare for the holiday shopping season was now complete. rest for the weary. from a mall management perspective, all the problems that arise that day are typically either security-related or operations-related.... and we had security and operations managers for that. ha ha. and lastly..... the BEST part....
black friday is nicknamed as such because the period between back-to-school and thanksgiving is the slowest period in retail and most retailers will go into the red during that timeframe. the day after thanksgiving is typically the first day that they will begin to turn a profit... putting them back into the black.
so, leading up to black friday, merchants will **** and moan constantly about the lack of advertising, marketing, publicity, events, etc. that they feel the mall is doing.... blaming me for their lack of profits. beginning on black friday, not only do they not have as much to ***** about, but they don't have time to *****
seriously, black friday was the quiestest day of the year in my office. i would close the door, never have my phone ring, and plan for valentine's day!
and after all that.. the answer is.. hell no. i hate shopping ANY day of the year.. but especially on black friday. LOL
