I personally don't but my niece-in-law goes out with her family :  they start at like 5:00 am in the morning: my sister in law gets the girls overnight on Thanksgiving so their mom can hit
the stores LOL

Right there with ya, babe!!!!  I don't get up QUITE as early as you, especially this year, because the only place I really HAVE to hit is Modell's Sporting Goods.  They usually have Ravens jerseys for considerably less (with a coupon that comes in the sale papers on Thanksgiving).  Since my brother bleeds purple, I need to get a Flacco jersey!!!!

Mom and I spend Thanksgiving evening eyeing the sale papers and mapping our strategies.  This year, since $$ is soooo tight, if we don't see something really worthy, we won't go to that store.  But, we ALWAYS, for as long as I can remember go to Lexington Market on Black Friday.   We pick up our homemade candies at Rheb's, potato chips at the Utz stall, steak fish at Faidley's, Christmas flowers at another stall, and whatever other treats may catch our eyes.  My dear departed Italian uncle used to own a HUGE produce stall, his name was very well known in for decades, and it just brings back WONDERFUL memories for me.

Afterward, we'll continue our tradition by shopping along Eastern Avenue in Highlandtown (the ORIGINAL Avenue), and have lunch at G&A Coney Island Hot Dogs.  We may finish up with a Christmas themed move - just depends on how much $ and energy we have left!!!

Have a blast, Steph, and remember, I like diamonds and purple!!!!  LOL!!!

I will have dinner with my family and leave for Bethany Beach on Friday morning. My youngest sister is going with me. She has not even seen my beach house yet. We will shop the outlets in Delaware on the way down. Neither of us has a whole lot of shopping this year so we are taking a Christmas tree, Christmas crafts, our cards to write out and some Christmas movies to watch. It is going to be a nice relaxed couple of days. Oh yeah...she wants to bake sugar cookies too. That might be a little too dangerous for me so she can take them all home with her.

I can't wait!!!!!!

I do not usually go out much on Black Friday. This may stem from the days when I worked in the credit card industry. This was an incredibly busy day for us then and I was always working. I also can not stand fighting crowds. Now that I am more physically able, I might consider checking things out this year. But if I run into a lot of pushing, shoving, and rudeness, I will just turn around. No amount of money saved is worth that kind of aggravation to me.

To all of those who thrive on this, I wish you Happy Shopping!

LOL steph  my Xmas shopping will be 90% giftcards bought thru a school because they get a %
from the cards sold .  It saves me a lot of trouble figuing out what to buy and a lot of running
around.

I normally do shop early on Black Friday; however, this year we have no $$, and I have to work both jobs that day so I can't even make the time.  There's always next year though!!! lol
