I know that the weather in Maryland is very unpredictable no matter WHAT the season, but I'm just not prepared for it to be 26 degrees with a predicted high in the low 40s .. IN November!   An odd single digit day (or series of single digit days) in January is to be expected, but NOT this cold this early in the year.   And then to add insult to injury I was talking to an RV friend from Central Illinois this a.m. who is getting ready to leave in a few days for their winter trip ( 3 or so months) to the Gulf Coast and Texas/Arizona before they head back home in mid-March and he said that he read where the east coast is in for a brutal winter.   ARGHHHHH!!!!

I'll get over it, but needed to whine for a few minutes.   Being here to live life and enjoy it no matter what the temperature sure beats where I was 5 years ago today!

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

I'm a bigger wuss:  cranked up the heated seats in the car this morning as high as I could crank it.    DID I MENTION I HATE THE COLD WINTER?

Don't get me wrong, I had my car heater cranked up, too, but it's much better than sweating because your A/C isn't working!!!!  LOL!!!

Yes, this weather in putting a cramp in my favorite breakfast, the FROZEN protein shake. I am not ready to give these up yet. So I sit huddled and bundled up while I eat it every morning. I am indeed sick (aka "not right in the head")! Then I drive to work with the heater cranked up as far as it can go.

Hi Mo,

I'm right there with you.  My mom sent us a link to the Farmers (I think) Almanac yesterday saying that we were in for a hard winter...UGH!  I hate, hate, hate cold weather and although I like to look at pretty white snow covered trees and grass, I'm not a winter sports person so look is all I'll do.  But hey, if it means I can work from home or have a day off...I'm all for it!  LOL!

Thinking warm thoughts!

I don't mind snow .. once it gets off my roads and sidewalks . it can stay on the grass all winter long .. til it melts!   It's just the mess of it all over and in my way that bothers me... lol

I'm right there with ya Mo!  I hate the cold.  I am NOT a winter person - I grew up in Florida and California, and to me, 60 is cold. lol.

Aren't heated seats the best Darla?

I also suffer from a mild depression when it's overcast and gloomy for several days (yanno, the usual winter here in MD) and I made a 'deal' with God - I'd never again ***** about the summer heat if he let me survive winter.  He won, I've never complained about the heat again. lol

WUSS AND WHINE AWAY!!!

I've never related the overcast to depression .. but I do know that I am perkier when the sun it out!!!
