hmmmm Honestly I'd take a bunch of friends and go shopping ---- maybe a New York weekend trip- with a show thrown in - LOL that would use that 1,000 up fast.

I have really been struggling with this ever since I saw it. There are so many things I want, need, or crave. 

* A trip to Oklahoma to visit my Uncle.
* A treadmill for home (I am actually looking for a used one now.)
* Getting the house painted (I am trying to do this now too.)
* Put it toward the huge car repair bill I just charged. While practical, this would also relieve some financial stress.
* Jewelry, especially dark opals. I mean, can a girl ever have enough jewelry?
* A new shoe wardrobe - Shoes are always expensive for me given my size and foot issues. Right now I am craving a pair of fashion boots. I already have the ones to wear in the snow.
* New counter-tops - I just don't "love" the ones I have now.
* The services of a seamstress to alter the clothes that I really love and want to keep.

See???? I just can't decide! Obviously, I need to hit the lottery!!!!!

I zeroed in on the jewelry and shoes.....when it's imaginary money I always gotta imagine the fun stuff!  The trip to NY sounds like fun too.  Now I hate the cold, but can this be in winter Darla?  I'd love to see all the LIGHTS and sounds of NYC at Christmas!!!

Sniff!!!  We go every year, but this year, Mom & I decided it was just too $$$!!!  Oh, I want to go SO badly.  Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way we could swing a bus trip up there for the board at this late date.

Correct - I have never been to NYC for the holidays.  I've "only" lived in MD for 10 years now.  Just haven't done it, for whatever reason....

I can't believe I'm not going this year.  But....we're trying, like everyone else, to cut back.  Plus, my Mom turns 65 - those of you who have met her wouldn't believe it - and I'm "planning" to take her to Savannah for a weekend as a surprise.  Paula Deen's restaurant, some plantations, etc.  Her family is from the south and she just loves all things southern!!  So no NYC this year!!

But next year!!!  I will DEFINITELY put something together for the board!!  The ONLY problem with NYC at Christmas is that it is so crowded on the weekends that you are literally swept along - my brother likened it to salmon swimming upstream.  Generally, our trip is Wednesday and Thursday - MUCH less crowded, and no lines for anything.  The one time I took my brother on a Sunday, we waited on the street to get into some of the stores, and we had to wait 40 minutes for a carriage ride!!!

We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO doing this next year!!!  There is nothing like NYC at Christmas!!!
