STRESSING OUT OVER HOLIDAY EATING?
LOL your brother's dream was too funny.
I don't know if we will get some but the far from here in Western WV it has been snowing a lot.
That urban legend only works in MD because in MD they close schools if it rains too much! LOL
The kids will get disappointed if they only get flurries. I think we will just get some accumilation on that grass and that's it. It is 37 degrees right now. So lets see what happens.
Hugs

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hi Doll,
Well my way around all that food is for me to prepare it because I don't care what I do if i fix it i don't eat as much. Don't get me wrong I am a firefighter and i'm a damn good cook, but when I fix it i tend not to eat as much. I guess because of the constant smell of everything I know it just works. Now if I don't fix i****ch out the fat mans coming to dinner LOL.

We are having 24 people for dinner. We are doing all the cooking. I just make what I have always made in the past. I will include a couple of sugar-free desserts so I will have a choice of something "sweet".
I was 9 month post-op last Thanksgiving and made really good food choices. I still continue to make good choices a majority of the time. I found that I still like "good bread" so that is a food that is a rarity in my diet.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!

You know me and my pouch. I don't really get excited about meals, because there's no telling how the pouch will react. I'm not a big turkey eater to begin with, so I can easily skip that part.
I am struggling with WHERE to go for Thanksgiving. Have pretty much eliminated the idea of a trip to CT. I think that might be too much excitement for my Mom as my sister and her family are going. I did talk to my sis last night about the Bronx Zoo and IF they had been stopping at the Zoo on the way to CT on Thursday, then I might have considered it, but since she is going directly to CT then doing the Zoo on Friday if they go at all, I decided to pass on it.
We have been invited to our friends in NC and while they have generously offered us a place to stay with them, we would be more comfortable in a hotel/motel, so I've been scouring the internet looking for a good deal in a nice place (last time I went for inexpensive and it was not the 'best' experience .. tho it wasn't a total dump).
Last year, we stayed home and just had a quiet Turkey day, not even sure we had turkey. Might do that again as that is the fiscally responsible option, though as Mr Mo put it last night .. when have we been known for being fiscally responsible.
I guess we will work it out in the next few days and make a decision!
Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Moie -
Even though I don't have pouch issues that you have, I STILL find that eating doesn't excite me like it used to. Although.....................I guess I should qualify that and say that if you waved a Godiva pumpkin pie truffle in my face, I'd be doing tricks!!!!! LOL!!! But I know what you mean!!!
I will say that if I were you and Mr. Mo, I'd be heading to a nice restaurant in Annapolis for dinner (a kid free restaurant, of course), then maybe a walk along the waterfront and back home to watch Christmas movies in front of the fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See?? Leave it to me, I have it all figured out for you!!!!
Hugs,
