Anyone in Frederick Maryland?
Great! Thanks for everyone that replied. Spread the word to others about a Frederick Support group. Even if it is just friends and family that are curious. I have never been to a meeting so I really do not know what goes on..but we can at least all meet once a month and take it from there. I know with the holidays coming up things are going to be even more crazy with everyone..but hey it is in the works and I am excited to meet everyone!

Your schedule can't get any crazier than mine.... Curently working two underpaying jobs (one FT and one PT) and trying to get a third. If I have a spare moment i try to keep up my gym schedule or continue on my job search.
There's other "frednecks" around here too...

It is so nice to meet everyone! Ok lets not wait how about this coming weekend? Like I said very informal meeting just a meet and greet to get to know one another. Does anyone have any ideas on a location? I live in Brunswick but that is probably too far for everyone...even though we have a really cool old church that was converted into a coffee house..called Beans in the Belfry. I am willing to drive into the city of Frederick too. Just tossing this out there looking forward to getting some imput back.

So, have any decisions been made yet? I would be interested in attending. I know when we meet in Carroll county it's a nice relaxed vibe and we all discuss our ups/down, what works and doesn't and basically our general experiences.
Just let me when this is going to happen and I will try to include it in to my schedule. It just depends on the day for me.

I haven't been back online since last week, so you'll have to fill me in about whether you all got together last weekend. I have heard that Beans in the Belfry is a nice place to hang out. There are also lots of libraries and chuirch halls around to meet. Good luck getting a meeting together. I hope it happens, and I'll be there if it's on friday evenings or weekends. I work too much and too late during the week.
I tried to get one going over the summer but it wasn't easy to coordinate, and eventually I passed it on to Cira who lives 30 mins from Frederick. I just didn't have the time to coordinate it. I think Cira has been a lot more busy that she thought once her husband also had WLS. Let me know how it goes.
