2.  My cousin from Calinfornia is coming for a visit next week:  Have not seen her in
a few years to this should be fun :  Mom sent her a picture of me since surgury but I think

Even though the sinus thing is hanging in, I do feel a bit better this morning!

The sun is shining!   Always a good thing even when it's a *****illy.

Only 3 work days til the weekend!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Good morning Darla!

I hope you have a great time tonight and enjoy your cousin's visit when she gets here.

Today I am grateful for:

1. Zyrtec it was prescribed to Little Gino & Gia and they both slept great.  I got a full 7 hours of sleep woo hooo!

2. I am having a great time mentoring a little girl in my daughter's school. It makes my day when I see her eyes light up when she sees me arrive at her class to pick her up. If I can make a difference in a troubled child's life then my life is complete.

3. flannel pjs, socks, gloves, coat and hood man I was freezing this morning when I went to walk Rocky. lol

Have a great day!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

Good Morning Everyone,

I just came back from my 1 year post surgery appointment. I am still trying to come to terms with everything the MD said. It was all good news from his perspective. I guess my struggle is that I am not 100% satisfied yet. I still feel like I have more to lose. My BMI is 28, which is in the overweight category. However, studies are indicating that those with a BMI between 25 and 30 have the fewest commorbidities and healthiest lives. Those with BMIs less than 25, can be prone to other risk factors. In my mind, I still want to get into the "normal" category. I need to let all of this sink in, but I am still going to try and lose more at this point. I won't be foolish, but I feel I do have some more to go.

1 - WLS - Regardless of where I wind up as a goal weight / BMI, I can't believe how healthy I have become, how good my labs and blood pressure are, and how good I feel. This is what I hoped for when I started this journey. It is actually so much more. I feel like I have been given the most supreme of gifts, to live a full and normal life. i could not have gotten this far without WLS. I am so glad that I overcame my fears and went forward with this.

2 - My WLS family - No one is an island and I rely constantly on the support, commraderie, and sense of community from my WLS family as I continue to work this new life. Only those who are going through this themselves can really understand all of the complexities of this life long process.

3 - My family and friends - These are the people who bring meaning into my life regardless of what I look like. They have always been there for me as I have tried to be there for them. I love them all.

I know I am somewhat sappy today. Thank you for your patience.
