3 things for Thursday
I hope everyone is having a great morning so far. I don't see Tia or Darla around so I am going to start this thread.
Today I am grateful for:
1. Knowledge! Knowledge is power enough said!
2. Unconditional friendships
3. Gia is finally getting better it has been a rough few days. She finally slept all night and is still slepping catching up on some zzzzzzzz's lol
Remember to always be grateful even if you don't post it here. Think about it and thank God for your blessings.

These past few days have been an emotional roller coaster for a lot of people I am afraid
but today I am grateful for
1. That I am taking steps to take care of some health issues I have been plagued with for months now. Got good news yesterday that a breast biopsy is not needed right now -
I just need to get a repeat mammo in 6 months
2. Thats its Friday Eve.
3. For my OH friends here and at the gym: its always so nice to look up and see
a familiar face at the gym and that happened twice Tuesday night.
4. That I had a nice lunch with my sister yesterday between the funeral and our Dr's appointments: there was a time we did a lot of things together but she went
and got married and had my niece Jessica: plus my own social life has been
busy lately thanks to my RNY - it was nice just to sit and talk for an hour.
So have a great day everyone - and remember smile at someone today - you may even get
one in return.

I am so glad that you had time to spend with your sister one on one even if it it was a sad day yesterday. Your friend who lost her Mom has a wonderful friend in you. You are an absolute loving and unconditional friend and she is lucky to have you.

1 - Today I am grateful for Support Group meetings. I had not attended one in a while due to various scheduling conflicts. I finally went to one last night. It was good to see some familiar faces and there were lots of new ones too. I really need Support Group to help me stay focused. I still struggle from time to time (now being one of those times). As an aside, the Dr. von Rueden Support Groups are now being facilitated by Ranesa and Ranesa is now an official member of Dr. von Rueden's Team (while still maintaining her private practice).
2 - Waking up with a new resolve. I have really struggled since coming back from vacation. I start my days OK and then just get an uncontrollable urge to eat. I am not hungry, but the appetite is out of control. I have felt at times like it would be so easy to completely relapse to my former self. While I am still nervous about this. I woke up with a new resolve to be strong this morning. I hope this gets me through today. If so, I can build on it from there.
3 - That it is Thursday - For some reason this week has seemed difficult and long. I am quite glad that we are on the downhill slide to the weekend. I need that time to recharge my batteries (Plus I have some fun activities planned).

Wow I am so glad to read that Ranesa is now with the support group! Wow look at what I have been missing. She is an awesome gal and i wish I was there to benefit from the support group. I really miss going to a support group and since there are none down here I have to focus in getting one going over here.
You are doing wonderful debbie we will always struggle with trying not to go back to our old habits. But remember you have come a long way and you are not going to fail because you are doing everything possible to stay healthy.
Remember if you have the need to snack get things that have protein, nuts, almosds, peanut butter, grek yogurt with kashi cereal and stuff like that. if you need the crunch buy baby carrots eat it with light ranch dressing or even peanut butter, celery with p/b....
You are doing great and don't let anyone tell you any different. One thing that is good about all this is that we recognize our behaviours and we put one good foot forward and we trudge on.....

1. my cat has a uti infection. the reason i am grateful is that i found out what is wrong and am treating it. she is one of the loves of my life so i was getting very worried about her. I brought her to the vet this morning to try to get her to pee and they were able to do that and confirmed the uti. i love her so much and am hopeful she gets back to normal soon.
2. flexible workplace. today i left after only being there an hour to go get my cat from the vet to take her home. it is nice that i am so close and that they are easy going here.
3. today is much better than yesterday on the pain front. I only took one pain pill so far today. yesterday i took three, then two more.
Thanks Gia has been getting all of Gianna's germs that she brings from her school. I have started to make her strip from her clothes once she gets in from school and was her hands and face before she even gets near the baby. Hopefully that will spare her from now on. She is still very congested and her diarrhea is gone so hopefully soon she will be over all this. It has been long enough.
I am sorry about your cat having the UTI. Glad they found it an soon she will be feeling better and back to her old self. Our furbabies are like our own babies. You are so lucky to have a flexible employer.
I am happy to read that you are feeling better today. Just make sure to take a pain pill closer to the end of the day because the pressure of being up and about will definitey wheigh in heavily on you. Keeping the pain in control is key to your recovery.

Today I am thankful 1.) It's Friday EVE!!!!!! 2.) My Grace Fellowship Church Family. No specific reason today that I can point to, just feeling grateful and wanted to voice it...3.)My OH family. I've been struggling lately to get back into the exercise groove and I've shared that with a couple of you. I am so grateful for the safe space (here on line and in the real world) to be honest and the encouragement that I never fail to receive. I really love you guys. Peace and Blessings,
