3 THINGS FOR TIA'S FRIDAY!!!

Sorry, gang, had to rub it in a little!!!  It's my Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  The extra energy that comes with wls - I have a jam-packed day awaiting me here at work, dinner out tonight, I'm brownie baker for B's Halloween party, I've got some things to do to get ready for Terry's wedding tomorrow night, I've got to hit Ulta, JC Penney and Bed, Bath & Beyond...whew!!  Pre-op, all I would've been able to do is THINK about all those things, and then go home and nap!!!!  I love it!!  Whether I'm considered a wls success or not, just be able to do things that other people take for granted is enough for me.

2.  Scented candles - I don't need to spend a lot of $$, I just want something that smells good.  Bought one for the office - Autumn Spice & Crisp!!

3.  I'm NOT grateful for this, but both my special lil guys are sick!!  K has strep throat and B's on his way to the ER this a.m. because his asthma's acting up.  I'm glad my brother was able to take off to be with them, and of course, I'll worry until I hear from him.  I think we're looking at a tonsillectomy for K after school ends in June - if we can wait that long.  Poor things!!!

HAPPY 40TH BDAY TO HEATHER L.!!  HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY GIRL!!!  DO SOMETHING FUN TO CELELBRATE YOUR NEW LIFE AND THE WONDERFUL GIFT YOU'VE GIVEN YOURSELF!!!   I SEE US BECOMING FABU FRIENDS!!!!  LOVE YA!!

Have a great day, everyone!!

((( Tia )))

Good morning .. have a wonderful 'faux' Friday !!!!

I walked into the office just about on time (I actually pulled into the parking garage at 7:30 .. any time I can do that I consider myself on time .. lmao) to trauma that the phones were out and the call management system wouldn't come up.   I guess I am grateful for the ability to think logically and not panic when they start howling!!!!   Just needed to reboot the phone server and all was ok!

Got my shopping done at Sam's last night and carried everything into the house myself (including two cases of water) before Mr Mo appeared in the driveway.  As luck would have it, I had made the last trip and was closing the front door when he backed in!   Bought myself a 'present' at Sam's .. a set of Corelle bakeware .. 4 pieces with plastic covers and two glass tops.   I has seen the set last time I was there and lusted after it, but didn't buy it.  Figured if it was STILL there last night I was meant to have it!   I will probably make good use of it in the house as well as take at least parts of it with me when we go out with Freddy!

I feel rested this morning!   I stayed awake until after 9 last night (after the 7:15 and 8 p.m. nights on Mon & Tues) and didn't sleep straight through but I do feel good thing a.m.

Boss is off until next Wednesday, so I need to be busy and productive in her absence!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Moie!!!

I'm excited and so happy to see Terry tomorrow - I'll take pics and share!!

I think a good solution to a lot of problems is, "Turn it off and turn it back on!"  I bet industry could save a lot of money if they would just try it!!!

I love buying kitchen stuff!  God help me, my high school bff is having a Pampered Chef party in a couple of weeks.  I'm gonna need to tie my hands behind my back!!

Have a great, busy day!

Hugs,

T

1. That Halloween is tomorrow. I am getting so excited to take my little bumble bee out trick or treating. AND after Halloween I get into FULL holiday mode so I love that....lol

2. That I mixed up my food choices yesterday. Tried some different things. I really liked them and my pouch liked them too, so you gotta love that...lol

3. Friday with a weekend off is in sight. I went back to work at my parttime job this week in addition to my full time and it has really taken its toll on me. I can tell my energy level still is not at 100% and I am beat!

Hi April!!

Take lots of pics of the bee!!!  She's gonna be sooooooooooooo cute!!!

Glad the pouch is liking the new things.  Mine didn't always in the beginning, hence, I nicknamed it "Randy," after the finicky little brother in "A Christmas Story!"  LOL!!

I know you need to work part-time, but take care of yourself, too, okay?  Your body is still healing and undergoing a lot of changes, so you don't want to end up back in the hospital!!!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Hey April, show me your bumble bee and I'll show you mine! lol Kylie is going to be a bumble bee too!  Mom bought her the costume from Cracker Barrel.  I'll be at a wedding for Halloween, but she'll get to go out with my parents to trick or treat.

Revised to VSG (6/11/09) weighing 253...

Go ahead Rub it in    : Enjoy your day tomorrow but with everything you have planned for tonight you will probably be baking brownies at midnight LOL.   I hope the kids get better soon, and
I'm glad Aunt Tia doesn't have to deal with the emergency room for once.

Today I am grateful for:

1.  The health of my parents:  I received a phone call from a dear friend last night-
she wanted to let me know that her Mom is back in the hospital again - and that
she doesn't think she will be coming out.  I feel so helpless- its hard too comfort
people preparing to lose a parent.  Mine are 81 years old and in reasonably
good health and I thank God for that every day.

2.  For bowling my high game this season last night LOL  granted 170 is not a
high game for most people but for me it just made my day - and helped us win
that game .

3.  HiJacking one from Tia-  the energy i have found since WLS.  My life used to
be work then straight home to bed. Now I rarely am home by 9:00 pm - Mom
swears they never see me anymore.

I will enjoy my day tomorrow, thanks very much!!!!!  You're right, I will be up late doing the brownies!!!!  And yes, I'm glad I don't have to be at the ER, too, but part of me wants to leave here and go there, which I will if need be.  I'm such a worrier by nature, but even more so when it comes to them.

Are you kidding??  17 would be a high game for me!!  LOL!!  Congrats!!!

Have a good day!

I know you are a worrier by nature:  remember we are "soul sisters"
I swear we have so mu*****ommen it is scary.

I know I need to be here at work but part of me wants to go sit
with my friends mom at St Ag.  - gonna have to find time for a visit today
or tomorrow I don't think she'll make it till the weekend.
