My brownies are famous at that elementary school, so maybe that's why!!  LOL

We used to MAKE Rice Krispie treats in school in Miss Hanke's 2nd grade class!!!  We loved her for stuff like that!!  I just said to Mom that the boxed ones don't taste nearly as good as homemade - Mom used to sometimes make two batches and sandwich them with chocolate in the middle!!!

Hellooooooooooooooooooo, wls!!!!  LOL!!!

I didn't have alot of the boxed costumes either...I remember all of my friends had those though!  Let's see, for several years I remember being a hobo.  My dad would put one of his shirts on me, stuff it with a pillow and cover my face with shoe polish!!  haha, I loved those costumes!!  I was a witch one year, they used someones old black dress and cut it up and actually bought me a witches hat..that was an exciting year!  I think my best memory though was being the tin man one year.  They bought me one of those plastic masks (just the mask)..yea, the hot ones...and wrapped me up in tinfoil!!  That was cool!

Hey Marnie!

I do remember being a hobo one year, too!!  Probably during a Halloween where my Dad was laid off, but we never knew it.

The tin man's a cool idea!!!!  Last year, my niece and I were in Joann Fabrics and I saw material that looked like a dryer sheet - I told her we could buy enough to wrap around her and we'd pin dryer lint, some socks and a pair of underwear to her!!  She wasn't having it, but I thought it was pretty creative!!  LOL!!!

I only remember two costumes as a child, a cat and a witch.  One year two of my friends and I dressed in grey sweats, sun glasses, canes, and face paint to be the three blind mice.  It was really cute!

Amy -

I LOVE that idea.  But I hate mice.  Wonder if I could get KB to do that with me next year???

How do you feel about hampsters?  We were in the pet shop in White Marsh Mall last week when they were cleaning one of the hampster cages.  About 12-15 hampsters were in a 5 gallon bucket.  It was TOO adorable.  They were looking up and out wiggling their noses and whiskers at us oohing and ahhing over them.  Kylie said, "oh, they sniffing me Mommy!"  You would have crapped your pants! LOL

I can deal with hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, squirrels, etc., AS LONG AS I DON'T SEE THEIR LITTLE RODENT FEET!!!!!

My gf's little boy plopped Sid, their guinea pig, in my lap and I almost created an emergency exit through her roof!!

You would not have survived growing up with my brother or my first nephew. We dealth with snakes, ferrets, turtles, praying mantis, lizards, hamsters, gerbils, and mice. And my nephew's step-brother also had rats!

Actually, I didn't develop this phobia until about 15 years ago, and there's nothing that really prompted it.

We had gerbils as kids, "Alvin and Snowball," and assorted other things.  It's just mice.

I was sitting in a McDonald's drive-thru a couple of weeks ago when I saw a huge rat run in front of the car from the dumpster to under a fence.  See?  Fast food will kill you!!!

Glad I made you laugh!!!  I sent you an email that should scare you, you bad girl!!!  LOL!!!!!

Well Deb, I'm as big a Halloween fanatic as you are..if not more so!  Every year we usually host a huge Halloween party.  Our last one we had I was six weeks post op.  My pic is below.  Didn't do one last year because we took Kylie trick or treating and didn't do one this year because I have a wedding to go to, BUT next Halloween there WILL be one!!!!  My favorite costumes have actually been the ones I've sewn or put together myself.  I've been a court jester, bride of Frankenstein (easy for us tall chicks!), and even Anna Nicole Smith (plus size). Here is me from Oct'2006..OBVIOUSLY MANY pounds heavier!
