Good morning!!!  Well, you know just from my title what my #1 thing is:

1.  It's payday!!!  Woo-hoo.  It won't last, of course, because I'll be broke before I know it, but for today, anyway, it's party time!!!!

2.  The glorious fall colors - As I came around the Beltway this a.m., the sunlight hitting the trees was simply magnificent!

3.  It's a short week for me.  And next week.  And the week after.  Don't know if I mentioned that previously!!!  LOL!!

4.  Dinner out tomorrow night!!!  I love to cook, but actually do get tired of it sometimes.

Have a great day!!!

Good morning Tia, I too noticed the fall colors this morning on the way in and it was beautiful!

1. That I drug out my winter coat from last year to wear (wow its cold outside!) and it actually fit very well and was no longer snug!! yay!

2. That I dont have to work at my parttime job tonight, those last two nights wore me out!!

3. Counting my blessing here that still, everything is so far so good with surgery

Hi April!!!

Your winter coat fitting without being snug is called an NSV - non-scale victory!!  Sometimes, those are the ones that REALLY matter, as opposed to the numbers on the scale, which may not always be friendly.

Just a word of warning - try the coat on weekly - it's a safe bet it will be too big before long!!!!

Congrats & have a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

I still have a little money left from last FriPay!!!  It's earmarked for bills but it's STILL in the checking account.

I managed to wake up this a.m. on time, which was a good thing since I fell into bed at 8 p.m  last night and failed to set the clock!

It was a dry/non-skidding drive to work this morning AND I have Big Blue back again.   Mr Mo 'borrowed' Big yesterday for an errand he needed to run.   I don't believe I would have had my little mishap had I been driving BB .. or maybe it would have been a BIGGER mishap!

I've got dinner in the crock pot and going to Sam's club after work to pick up a few needed items!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Moie!!!!

Wow!!!  After BB's adventures at the mechanic's last week, you STILL have money left?  I'm impressed!!!

It was an early night for me, too, but I DID watch Charlie Brown.  I couldn't have slept had I missed it!!!  LOL!!!

It's great crockpot weather and I LOVE knowing dinner's just about done by the time you get home!!

Love ya,

Tia

Greetings All,

Well it is just 2 days before Halloween. My preparations for the office party on Friday are all coming together. I will begin baking this evening and getting the final details for my costume together. This means that I will not be exercising much this week. But this stuff is important to me and that is just the way it will have to be. I can get back into my routine next week.

I made the mistake of stopping in Party City last night for glow sticks. Boy, everyone was in there costume shopping! Of course they moved the Glow Sticks from the front of the store to the middle of the costume section. I could not wait to get out! But that was after I bought the Glow Sticks and some additional items to enhance my office on the big day!

1 - Having Fun is better than ever - Not only am I looking forward to having fun on Halloween as I traditionally do. But this year, I am looking forward to not getting overheated and having my makeup run, having my costume look more scary (after all, how many scary characters are overwieght?), etc. I expect I will be able to enjoy the whole thing so much more than in the past. This would not have been possible without WLS and this fantastic first year.

2 - I have had some eating control issues lately and ate something that I should not have last night. I felt absolutely awful and had to wait for it all to pass overnight. I really needed that reminder to behave myself! So I am thankful that I got the reminder. Hopefully, my resolve will be better today. So far, so good.

3 - Traditions - Thanks to Tia's reminder, I watched It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown last night. Even the simplest things can bring joy. It's truly a classic and has not aged a bit! I am glad that I can still feel this way. I hope I never grow out of it.

Have a good day!

Sorry you were sick!!  I know what a miserable feeling it is!!  Yes, our pouches rule!!!

Have a great day!

Good Morning all

1.  Computers - had to make an appointment with a breast surgeon at GBMC and
because of the RNY last year all my records are in the computer - no lengthy
questions just to get an appointment.

2.  My faith in God - without that I would be  a basket case at this point

3.  Friends who I know will keep me off the ledge this next week  -  I'm grateful
for you all.

Good!!!  Glad you decided to go with GBMC - that's my hospital of choice.  When is your appointment?  Want me to go with?

Keep the faith and we'll be there with the safety net!!!

Love you,

Tia
