3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!
Hi Moie!!!
I have to respectfully disagree - Christmas music is good all year long!! Okay, so I'm weird that way!!! I'm chomping at the bit already thinking about baking cookies and making fudge. No, NOT cheese fudge. Mom pretty much put the brakes on that and told me to go back to my original recipe!!
OMG!!! I bet you WERE scared!!! YIKES!!! Glad you and yours are okay!!!
I saw Jim Brickman in concert at Christmas several years ago - awesome show!!!! And he's cute to boot!!!!
We haven't been given a furlough schedule either - but I'm waiting. Someone in HR said it's coming, it's just a matter of when and how it's going to be doled out. SIGH.
Have a good, SAFE day!
Tia
I haven't listened to Christmas music yet. I need to get through Halloween and Thanks giving first. lol
It is cold here 45 but it feels like 37 with the winds.
Here I am having a late morning with 2 sick children. Little Gino has a cold yet again and baby Gia got really sick Sunday night. She has a real bad cough with a lot of phlem and could barely sleep. It has been two rough nights for me and Gia. She doesn't have a fever so I am waiting to see how it goes to take her the the pediatrician. I am cold and sleepy NOT good. sigh....
Today I am grateful for:
1. Flannel jammies, T shirt, double socks, warm slippers and my 2 cup of coffee.
2. For good friends
3. That Gino is freezing his hiney at Gianna's field trip and not me! LOL
Have a great day everyone.

Cira -
I know, it's a sickness. But you love me anyway!!! LOL!!
I am SOOOOOOO sorry the lil sweeties are sick. Does LG still have his tonsils? I know they don't remove them like they used to, but I wonder if they would help.
Stay toasty in your jammies, eat and drink yourself (and so you can feed Gia), and call me if you need ANYTHING!!! I know Darla is thinking the same thing!!!
Field trip? Pumpkin farm? And since Gino's hiney is rapidly diminishing, he'll freeze!!!!!
Love you,
Tia
LG had his tonsils and adenoids removed early this year because he had severe sleep apnea. He doesn't snore anymore but gets sick often still. ughhhhh
Yes girl I don't plan to change out of my jammies today. I am going to make some rice and milk soup today it reminds me of my Mom and it will keep me warm. I know it sounds yucky right? LOL
They went to a Pumpkin farm he will freeze his little hiney for sure! Better him than me! LMAO!
He will come home frozen andwith a major headache from riding with all those crazy kids in that big school bus! lol

That milk and rice soup is for me you silly girl. It is not sweet only made with salt and milk. Big Gino hates it. I was brought up eating that so I guess I learned to love it. lol
Gia will have my boobie milk only. Hopefully the cow milk will not get to her too much! lol

I agree. Traffic was a bear this AM and I got to do it twice, once to the eye doctor (checkup) and then going into the office - UGH! I slipped some too. I think it is a combo of the oils on th eroad and the disintegrating leaves. That is the only thing I don't like about Fall - rain on top of leaves.
Darla - I want to see that outfit too! I am wearing something new today as well. I bought my first skirt in decades over the weekend. With my new sweater set, I kind of like it. It is amazing how good clothes can make you feel these days!
Nicole - Best wishes for tomorrow. Here's hoping all goes according to plan with with as little discomfort as possible.
Cira - Here's hoping that the family heals quickly. It is no fun to be sick (stating the obvious)!
1 - Pushing the limits - I was in Pilates class with Darla last night. It was so good to be reminded of how far we have come and how far we can still go. Our Trainer pushed us with some new moves that were a challenge for balance and control. I told our Trainer I wished that the machine came with training wheels, which only netted me a laugh and no training wheels! Anyway, after a tentative start I thnk both of us did pretty good and surprised ourselves a bit. I know I did!
2 - Getting compliments - I know it is superficial. But after not getting them for so many years, it is nice to get the positive reinforcement from others. Someone just paid me a compliment as I was sitting here typing this. it is nice of others to take the time to say something nice. Of course, that has made me aware that I need to work harder at recognizing others as well. It is important to pay it forward!
3 - My friends here - I continue to daily enjoy everything that you all share, from the serious to the corny. It makes my day. And it reminds me that I am never alone! You are all very special people.
Have a good day! Stay warm, dry, and safe!
Debbie
Hi Deb!!!
I'm constantly amazed at your ability to turn lemons into lemonade - as hard as it is sometimes!!!
You deserve EVERY SINGLE compliment!!! Revel in them!!!
Paying it forward is wonderful. Sometimes, on the rare occasion that I have some extra $$, I will pay for the order of the person behind me in the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru. Of course, by the time they're at the window, I'm already gone, so it either makes their day or creeps them out!!!!!
Hugs,
Tia
