3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!
Today I'm grateful for:
1. Christmas music - This morning's selections included tracks from Jim Brickman (LOVE this man!), the Charlie Brown Christmas CD and A Partridge Family Christmas Album!!! I'm so ready for this!!!
2. Happy in jammies - OMG! It was the funniest thing when I opened the door last night. Happy came spinning over in her new snowman jammies I bought for her!!! Lest you think I'm completely bonkers, I didn't set out to buy her jammies, I just wanted something to keep her warm, and since these have legs, they were perfect!! She looked like a snowman print sausage!!! LOL!!
3. I have a short week this week. And next. And the one after that. And for those of you saying, "I want a job like yours!" fine, YOU can have the S-I-X days of unpaid leave the Governor is forcing upon us!!! Yeah, that's what I thought!!!
Have a great day everyone!! Drive safely!!
Tia
Good Morning everyone : and yes it is really Icky out . I swear a little rain and I can add 15-45 minutes too my already 40 minute drive.
1. Getting back to the gym last night and my renewed determination to go at least 4 days a week.
2. Wearing a new outfit - complete down to new shoes. I am wearing a new sweater
( OMG belted and horizontal stripes) new black jeans and I look pretty damn good if I do say so myself.
3. Job security
T- I know what you mean about the Gov. budget cuts: we have three employees who depend
on the bus from the city to Howard county and come January its not going to be available. Even
though they say the bus is always packed its going to be cut.
2. For my Babysitters, My grandmother (who obviously does it free of charge...lol) and for a wonderful lady from my church tha****ches Jordan the two days my grandmother cannot. She is so cheap, she loves my daughter as if she was one of her own grandkids and most importantly my daughter loves her!!
3. For a weekend off and going to take Jordan to see Disney on Ice on Sunday, I am really looking forward to that.
April -
Your #2 deserves a post all its own!!!! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to find a good babysitter these days whom you can trust. That Jordan is getting the best of care for next to nothing is a bonus!!!!
Have a blast at Disney on Ice!!! Take some $$ - the souvenirs are $$!!!!! The last time I went, we were able to take our own snacks, so that saved us some $$, but the programs, light up thingies, etc., can cost a mint!!!
Hugs,
Tia
But, I am alive and have family who love me. I am grateful for the following:
1. Job security and a boss who likes and respects me. It is so nice when you are given guidlines but also told that she would defer the final decision to me as she "trusts" my "judgement". So very nice.
2. Hot tea. I love tea. On cold days like this the hotter the better. Ahhhhhhh
3. My husband being home today!! In the last week I have seen him once. Sad since we live in the same house. We have an anniversary coming up and I would really love to have dinner sans children.
Kim - Yeah, I'm always cold, too, but I LOVE it. I don't like the rain, but I SOOOOOOO want to see snow flurries!!!!!
I've had some great bosses and some not so - I seem to have one of each now - some days, I feel like Sybil!!!
I'm a hot tea junkie, too!!! And I LOVE flavored teas!! Have you ever been to Baltimore Coffee & Tea in Timonium?? They have an awesome (CHEAP, TOO) selection of teas and coffees.
Here's hoping for a happy anniversary dinner for the TWO of you!!
Hugs,
Tia
That I made it to work safe and sound! I had a meeting out of the building at 8:30 so I was late coming in. Was going around a corner in the rain and slick surface and while I did nothing to cause it, the blazer did decide to take a path of its own and I am still a bit shaky. Fortunately, I stopped with no damage to me, the blazer or anyone else's property but it was fun NOT !!!!
Having the good sense to go to bed last night when I was tired even though it was only 7:15 p.m. I didn't sleep through, but I didn't get up until the clcok went off at 5:30 a.m It's such a dreary day that I would happily have stayed home under the covers all day.
That thus far we have not been given a furlough schedule and hopefully we will escape it!
Hugs, Mo
p.s. I love Jim Brickman too .. but it's WAYYYYYYYY too early for Christmas music!
p.p.s. Did I tell you about the opening remarks that one of the speakers made last Thurs a.m. regarding going out on the jogging trail around the hotel .. *who knew that in Texas they decorate for Halloween with red & green lights .??? ... lmao . the hotel was busy getting ready for the Christmas season already
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
