It has been a year! Happy Bandiversary to me!
Congratulations, Angie!
I totally relate to where you are. There's something about hitting that 1 year mark and/or 100 lbs lost where it gets really difficult. Take it from me, get off the sugar. What you described is exactly where I went 1 year post op after losing 104 lbs. I've struggled since then with sugar becoming a new addiction and it's really hard to shake because sugar just makes me crave more sugar and carbs. I wish I'd never taken that first bite of dessert. I guess I'm an all or nothing person but I did fine with Skinny Cow and WW desserts, SF pudding as my sweet treat post op but once I started back to eating candy I lost control. I've gained and lost about 16 lbs from my lowest but I only have 30 lbs to go and I really want to get there. It's hard to re-gain the momentum so I'm just giving you a gentle reminder to finish your goal and THEN start maintenence mode.
We're going to finish this!
Happy Bandiversary!

Sweets are my down fall too, but If you don't mind, I will share what really helped me stay on track, --whenever I crave something chocolaty and sweet , I combine 1 cup or 1/2 c of cottage cheese, (I know most people don't like cottage cheese, but trust me this is good) with sugar free cocoa, around 2-3 tbsp depending how dark you like your chocolate, and an artificial sweetener, splenda or twin. Mix this till it is smooth and creamy, it taste like pudding or a chocolate treat, and is full of protein and good for you. Try it , you just might like it. lo
