It's been a while since ive posted on here, but the question i have is: should i still be losing weight at a somewhat steady pace? I have only lost 12 lbs since December, and my weight shifts a cpl pounds up or down. My start weight was 302lbs and im down 112 lbs to 190, which i havent weighed this in years. im very happy with this result but i would still like to lose more. what can i do more to help my result? i exercise, i work full time, go to school full time, have a husband and 2 kids, i make time for my kids, whether its playing basketball with the 14 yr old or tag with the 4 yr old. i just dont know what else to do. i hope someone can help. i do have a decent job, im an administrative assistant, going to school for my teaching degree. could my job be bringing me down? i usually sit at my desk with not much to do. (alot of ppl would love to have my job) but im not as inactive (if u will) as i use to be. i need more activity in my life. my life is not a bore anymore, im not just going thru the emotions, i want to live. please help me. Thanks all Sabrina P.S. This sight is wonderful, it has helped me tremendously. if i had a question, i would come on here to look for answers and i usually wasnt the only one that had that question, it was already answered for me, and if i couldnt find the answers, i would post the question, and get responses. So thanks to all that has helped me make a transition from being lifeless to full of life.

Hey Sabrina, Congrats on the 112 lbs! I bet you feel much better. Sounds like your going through a stall, I'm still pretty early out myself. This post may help you out http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/men/postdetail/19609.html?vc=0 http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/men/postdetail/19610.html?vc=0 Dr Nease is the man! I'm thankful he did my surgery. Do you ever go to they're support group? I've never been but I'm gonna try to go May 1st. Take care and good luck!

Hi Sabrina! I started out at 302 pounds the day of my surgery, 2 years and 4 days ago. I plateaued when I was about 16 months out and thought that I would NEVER lose another pound. With exercise and watching a little better of what I was eating, it came off finally again. I have lost 182.5 pounds, from a size 28W to a 4 pants, 3X shirts to Small. Life is good and you will lose again. It just takes time and effort too.. I know it is hard and I know how stressful it can be. Just hang in there, it WILL get better. I also have a 14 yr old, that is trying to teach me to skateboard, (I may have broken bones soon), a 6yr old that loves basketball and a 3.5 year old whom loves football. I am experiencing all kinds of new things... Just like you!! Email me sometime if you would like. Tonya [email protected]
