im not from ashland, but am from east kentucky. we have the same surgeon, he is so great. i had my surgery aug. 1st, 2005, im down 112 lbs to 190 and im doing great. i almost walked away the day of my surgery, i was very scared but dr. nease assured me i was going to do great. hes a very compassionate dr. i would recommend him to anyone. anyways, im about 1 1/2 hours from ashland, in martin county.

Hi, My name is Melissa and I am from Letcher co. not far from you. Have you had your surgery yet. I just found out my insurance does not cover and I dont' know what to do now. I need this surgery so bad. I keep getting bigger and bigger. I hate this life living it fat. I am so sick of it. I want to be smaller and pretty. I don't want to be skinny though. Got any good info for me.

I am from Paintsville Ky, which is less than an hour from Ashland. I travel there or around there almost daily as I work in Huntington WV

Hi everyone. I am from Martin County myself. I am 8 months out and Dr. Nease was my surgon. I think he is great. I have talked to others in my area who had surgery in other hospitals and was surprized that they didn't get as good info and support as I received under Dr. Nease's care. I feel I was given the tools I will need to loose my excess weight and keep it off. I visit Ashland a lot and am in Huntington at least a couple of times a month. I am sure you will do great with the surgery. The staff at Cabel Huntington are absolutely wonderful. Is that where you plan on having surgery? Cyndie
