Plastics - Anthem BCBS PPO???

Anyone have their insurance through Anthem BCBS PPO? My plastic surgeon's office has sent in the information requesting approval for a tummy tuck and breast lift. They sent in information documenting a hernia, sent in my WLS op report, and a letter from my chiropractor recommending a breast lift. Wonder if I'll have any luck with approval??? Anyone have my insurance and get their plastics approved? I'm assuming I'll be denied (preparing for the worst outcome but hoping for the best). Thanks all!

I have BCBS and recently had souble hernias repaired. I tried the tummy tuck the same time as the hernia repair but was told I must be 18 months out before they will consider approving the tummy tuck. They also require 3 consecutive months of documentation about rashes for the tummy tuck to be approved. So I hope this info helps you. I was hoping to have it all taken care of in one surgery.. However BCBS did not agree. Dave

Well, part of that is good news to me. I'm almost two years out so the 18 months part won't hold me back. The 3 consecutive months of rashes will not help me at all. Ugh! Thanks for the reply, though!
