Jessica, Congrats on the KRCC appointment!!! YEAHHHH!! Now just hold your breath and hope they dont cancel on ya three for four times like they did me lol..... I dont live in the Ashland area, and I am not sure if you have ARH Home Health services in that area. I know in Hazard they have Home Health and when I had to go back to my surgeon for a staph infection...all my staples were removed and I was left opened from the bottom of my breast to the top of my navel. I wasnt married when I had this surgergy and I had no family support. I had to get Home Health to come out and change bandages for me. They have several services that are paid for by Medicaid. You can call and look into it and see if they are available in your area. I think as long as there is an ARH Hospital in your area then they will provide services there, but I am not sure. you can call them and see. If there is, all you need is a referral from your doctor. I had my surgeon call the Home Health Services in Hazard ( Perry Co ) to get them to come out to my house. The nurse was friendly and I really liked her a lot. Medicaid does cover this because it is a medical necessity, but I was left wide open and could not get up, the Home Health nurse did physical therapy and things like that to prevent blood clots.....just call them and see what they say....the worse they can say is no and then you wouldnt be any worse off...but if they said yes, then you have an answer to the problem. I am not sure what the number is, but I think it is 439-6955. That is what the number was when I needed them, but it has been a few years and they have changed bulidings since then, but the number may be the same. If it isnt, let me know and I will try to get the right number for you. Take care and good luck!!
