What is your goal weight?
Ok, I am getting excited about being close to my surgeons goal. His goal for me is 160 and in 13 more pounds I will be there. He says if I want I can go down to 140 before plastics but he doesn't want me below that. He doesn't think it would be healthy. How do u figure out where to stop? When I hit his goal I am going to make an appt with a plastic surgeon he recommended and get that going, but I don't want to stop losing weight at 160, I would at least like to get to 150. I am not even thinking of having plastics until the end of June or first of July so wherever I decide to stop and maintain I will be there for a while. I have already been getting compliments about how slim I am looking and I can finally see it myself. Today I took the dreaded and embarrassing monthly naked pics for my insurance co. I have to do that once a month. To document the skin...Its part of their criteria for approving my plastic procedures although I hate doing it. Its humilating but I can't afford plastics on my own. So, any thoughts, opinions would be great...Where did u stop before plastics? Does plastic surgery remove many "pounds" or just 2-3lbs of skin? I have loads of excess skin so I am thinking 150 before plastics will be good. What do u think? I took some front, side and back pics today also and I can't believe what a difference I see now...Its been amazing...

313/173/150?
Dr. Wolf (Etown plastic surgeon) stated that I would only have about 3 pounds of excess skin removed (and I've lost 112 pounds).
My surgeon finally said my goal weight should be between 147 and 151. The "ideal" weight, according to BMI is 142. I can't seem to lose past 162, so I guess I ought to just be happy. However, I'm still wearing sizes ranging from 12 to 16 at 162 pounds, nowhere near your size 8. It can be frustrating.
Good luck on your journey!

Yeah, Dr. Wolf is a plastic surgeon, in addition to an ENT. I was skeptical at first, but my best friend works at HealthSouth and swears that the nurses there LOVE him and claim he's a perfectionist when it comes to plastic surgery. When I met with him, I got a really good feeling from him. He took his time, was completely honest with me, and spent loads of time with me so that I understood the procedure and the predicted results. I was planning on going to Louisville, too, but after meeting with Dr. Wolf, I decided to stay local. Besides, I've had too many surgeries performed out of town and it would be so much easier on my family if I stayed in town.
Take care of yourself.

I might consider this..I don't know. I would like to stay around close also but I plan on having all my procedures done at once and I don't know how Dr Wolf feels about that. Does he do implants, thigh lifts, tummy tucks, the arms, everything? I found a surgeon recommended by Dr Shina that takes my insurance and since my insurance says they will pay for everything as long as its medically necessary I have to find a ps that will work with me on trying to get everything approved. Also, Dr Durham Smith says that as long as he feels its safe he will do all the stuff at once. I am going to call Dr Wolfs office tomorrow and see what they say, it can't hurt to talk to them about it. I would love to be able to stay in town. Does he operate at HMH? Thanks for the info and please keep me informed. I still have a few pounds to go before I am ready but its never to early to research.
