Insurance approved how long till surgery?

My insurance since me an approval letter for the lap band surgery. I am going to have my surgery at Georgetown Bariatrics. How long of a wait do I have now?

It doesn't usually take long after they receive your approval letter to call and schedule your all day with the doc, Internist, and pre-op class. You should get your surgery date on the day you see the surgeon. The actual surgery should be scheduled during the 1-2 weeks after that appointment.

Joyce it may just depend on howbusy your d is to get to you. When I had mine it only took out 2 wks from time ins aproved till had opration .Best of luck to you
