Needing a Kentucky Penpal...someone with well documented WL and photos :)

Looking for someone I can communicate with, especially around the Radcliff/ Ft KNox area. I have gotten clearance from pulminology and cardiology, and am waiting for appointment with surgeon. I am wanting to know about what to eat, common weight loss markers, etc. Hope to hear from someone soon, thanks!

I am hoping to have the surgery before April and will likely meet with the surgeon by the end of this month, first of March. I am going thru the doctors at Norton. I am considering Dr. Jeffrey Allen or Dr Mark Shina. Tell me more about you!

I had WLS on March 28, 2005 with Dr. Allen being the surgeon. I have had no problems with surgery, etc. Dr. Allen and his staff are just wonderful people to have if you should consider them. Unfortunately, I have yet to post a photo of myself on the website, but plan to try and accomplish that here in the next few weeks. Norton Hospital was a wonderful hospital, with having a private room, etc. The nurses there especially were just great. I don't know much about Dr. Shina, though I have heard that he is just as good as Dr. Allen. So tell me more about your surgery and progress you have made post-op. It calms my nerves a bit knowing there are so many more people with good results than bad. I hope you are doing well! TTYL!!

Hi Shannon, I am in Etown. I am 10 months post op from Open RNY gastric bypass, have lost 137 pounds so far. My surgeon was Mark Shina. I would love to talk to u, chat, email or whatever. I have tons of pics on my profile. They are just thru out. The before one is at the bottom. I am a picture freak now and I used to couldn't stand having my pic taken. Hopefully after Monday I will be with alltel.net (I am supposed to be on dsl with them but they haven't delieverd my package for that yet!) I also have a yahoo messenger for chatting. I have an exclusion in my insurance, but other than that I am already for surgery, I just need a way to get it.
