Insurance Problems

I had OPEN RNY-distal in 2002. At the time, I was so heavy and had a great number of comorbidities. I had no trouble at all getting approved for the surgery because my BMI was over 60. I have had many complications from the surgery but ALL of my comorbidities are now gone. I can not say my surgery was not a success because at least I have a life to live now. After the death of my grandmother( who was like my mother) I began eating....even though I wasnt hungry at all....less than 6 months later my grandfather died too. My grandparents were married for 53 years. Some say my grandfather died of a broken heart...but anyway, I once again turned to food for comfort. I ate until I couldnt possibly eat any more. I dont know why I did this, but I have always been addicted to food.....I think I have stretched my pouch. I am always hungry even though I know I have eaten enough. I called my surgeon to get an appointment....but here is the kicker.........once I had WLS surgery, and my comorbidities started leaving, I was no longer considered disabled. I lost my medical insurance because I was on disabilty. I can not afford medical insurance. I need to know if there is any way possible that I can be eligible for some kind of medicaid assistance? My surgeon wont even see me without insurance up front unless I pay in advance, which I can not afford. Can anybody please help me with this matter?
