what is F.A.C.S?
Hi Chad
Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons, which is the most prestigious surgical organization in the United States. Fellowship in this organization is offered to surgeons who possess a variety of prerequisites, one of which is a large surgical experience for which proof is required. Very few ophthalmologists can use the ""FACS" designation. You will see "FACS" after the names of the most prominent general surgeons, heart surgeons, and other specialty surgeons in the country.
Hope that answers your question??
to funny Chad, we are both on at the same time!!..I guess you are researching the docs and that's awesome..you went to the meeting the other night with Dr. Weiss, just so happens Dr. Weiss is one that has F.A.C.S. after M.D.
He is an awesome surgeon and person Chad. I have been so fortunate and privileged to spend time with him in and outside the OR..on Friday (the morning after the seminar) I spent the early part of the day with Dr. Weiss at a rehab center as he gave a talk to nurses and physical therapist.
Since they were mostly women they did not only enjoy hearing him talk but liked the scenery as well...(so I heard from the audience)..( I admit he is handsome) just don't tell him I said that...lol..yea yea..more than you needed to know!
Dr. Oldham is a great guy too, (also nice to look at) both of them operate at the same time, that's pretty awesome actually..I have learned alo****ching them over the last few weeks..though he is the quiet one I have found he is the practical joker in the group...so go prepared with a joke ...he will love it!!
email me or call me for more info..you have my phone number!!
