R u looking for a surgeon?

I just wanted to come on here and tell everyone who is looking for a surgeon in the Louisville area that Dr Shina is the best in my opinion. He and his staff are wonderful. I have heard some people say that he is short and to the point, but I have never seen any evidence of this myself. He is very blunt about the surgery, the risks, the after care, but I wouldn't want him to be any other way. His nurse Holly is a sweetheart, Glenna the insurance lady is a angel! I just love them all to pieces. Dr Shina always takes his time to sit and talk to me when I have a check up. He is serious about the surgery and he is always nice. Thanks to him and his wonderful staff I am where I am today. 10 months post op and down 136 pounds, I have 17 pounds to go until I hit his goal of 160 and 37 until I get to my goal of 140. If u r looking for one of the best surgeons around, do some research on Dr Shina, u won't be disappointed. Hugs Angela

Hi Angela I don't now who Dr. Shina is but I went to a seminar on Thursday night to hear Dr. Weiss from georgetown speak. I was really impressed with his knowledge and the staff and I met Brenda Goldschmidt there just long enough to say hello. I have heard alot of nice things about these doctors I am nervous about the whole thing so I know it's important to trust the doctor you are with. I am glad there are ones out there like your Dr. Shina and the Georgetown doctors there are enough patients out there for all the good guys. What I don' t want is one of the bad docs that i Hear so much about. Chad

Hi Chad, my aunt had Dr Weiss and loved him. U r so right, u have to go with who u feel u can trust. For me it was Dr Shina. I just knew in my heart that I could trust him with my life with the surgery. This surgery isn't something to take lightly and I feel like for me, Dr Shina and his staff were the absolute best choice I could make. My hubby also loved him. I have also heard good things from Georgetown, I just don't have any info on them other than my aunt had Dr Weiss and likes him. From what I have seen of Brenda on here she is one sweet lady...I hope to be able to meet her sometime and many others. Have a great one! Angela

I did talk to a man and woman after the meeting who sat in the back..was that you?
