? about wrinkles, face creams???
Hi, Angela!
First things first - you look AMAZING!!!!! You're doing great!
I know I'm a little late in replying, but thought I'd share with you what I read in OH Magazine recently. There was an article by a woman that works with post-op patients on skin care. She said we're often a bit saggy and have large (stretched) pores. To tighten things up, she recommends always using a toner after cleansing, as well as microdermabrasion. She said the kits with the vibrating "scrubbers" aren't necessary, but instead you should look for a microdermabrasion cream that contains quartz crystals.
I had already bought the kit with the "scrubber" and have been using it for the last week or so, and I haven't noticed a difference yet - and of course, the cream that came with it doesn't contain quartz crystals!
Take care, sweetie!
Jo

Hi Jo, thank u! Last night I was looking around at Walmart because a few people had suggested Oil of Olay Total Effects cream, this one girl said it was $16 but last a long time. The only thing I saw was this little bitty tube for $16. I hope that wasn't it lol cause I didn't get it. I did get some thing new from Ponds. Its called Mend and Defend. I am going to try that for a while and see and if it doesn't start helping I will get this stuff u suggested, just the cream.
Thanks
Angela

I'm 44, had Roux-en-Y 2002 and lost 131 lbs. I can tell you all about the lines that appear out of no where! I have always taken great care of my skin, researched all the products, tried everything from 200.00 per 1 1/2 ounce jar of face caviar (from Sweden)to 1.99 a tube of eye cream (from Dollar Store)
Bottom line is that none of them can actually erase the lines or take away the sagging. To do that you need prescription strength Retin-A/Renova creme or gel. It is an acid that will make a noticeable improvement with continued use. I could tell a big differance in 3-4 months with lines around my eyes. Needs a script from Doc to get it and insurance will not cover it if over a certain age, like 18 or 20!
The ones that say they will do this and do that, will do it temporarily, as in several hours and that's it. My dermatologist says the best thing is to stya out of the sun, wear sunscreen of 15 all the time, and wear Oil of Olay with sunscreen moisturizer. I use Oil of Olay foaming face wash, use my 0.05% Retin-A, and follow with Oil of Olay with sunscreen. Everyone noticed a huge differance in my skin, so for once in my life, I'm keeping the routine! Retin-A also removes dark spots/freckles and helps with blemishes. It can also make your skin pink if you use too often like I tried to do to get quicker results! Not a good idea.
Bottom line, the sun is our enemy when it comes to skin.
