OT: DSL info

Hey, does anyone know how much it takes to start DSL with alltel? I have been told from Alltel that I can get DSL where I live for $24.98 a month. I am so freaking tired of aol dial up. I am going to ask Alltel tomorrow how much the deposit is, but tonight I was curious and wondered if anyone knows. Thanks Angela

If you have phone service with them there should not be a deposit. You may have to pay one month in advance. Deposits protect them against Long Distance Charges. I have Brandenburg Telephone and I get DSL, phone, and cable TV 100 channels for $95.00 a month. Hope this helps, Congrats on your weight loss.

Hi Barry, thanks for replying! I went in today and talked with Alltel and found out that it doesn't cost a thing to get it started so I ordered the service. It will be 5-7 days before we get our kit. Its only $24.95 a month for DSL, I didn't think that was bad. I pay $23.90 a month for aol dial up and it sucks. I think our phone, dsl will be around $60 monthly. We have a great deal with comcast on the cable. But their internet is really expensive, it might be real fast and nice but its too high for me. Thanks for the info and for the congrats! Angela
