WLS Convention in KY???

I have been off the boards for so long now. I had a ton of complications with my surgery. I am just now back in the swing of things. No matter how much trouble I went through these past few years, I would still have the surgery. I had RNY-Distal. It was suppose to have been done LAP, but had to be done OPEN because of scar tissue from a previous gallbaldder surgery. Anyway, I was reading some of the posts from KY and came across the national WLS convention in KY. One of the posts has summer of 06 and others had October 06. I was just wandering when it was and if they have decided on a specific place yet? I have never been to any of the conventions and would love to attend this one. Thanks.

Hi Rosanna..I am the liason here in the area putting the conference together. (under the direction of Dr. Monica Ganz) OH has approved Lexington as the site for the National conference (October 13-15) so keep watching the boards I will be posting more and more information.. Hi Diana I just got home from LExington checking out sites for the conference..We may end up moving the date a bit, it's pretty well packed down there because of the big horse race track.."Keeneland" it's only open two months out of the year..but that is when the docs thought it would be a cool time..we may still have it in Oct..just switch the dates around.. I can't tell you alot at the moment simply because we havn't gotten very far as of yet..the hotel where I stayed was Marriott Griffin Gate. beautiful place not far from the race track and the famous Calumet farms.. I spent last evening at a seminar with Dr. Weiss and then this morning I went with him as he did a talk at a rehab center. He is such a good speaker with tons of good information, I have learned so much from him.. I am putting together a sensitivity training program, working with some rehab centers as well as Sleep diagnostic centers. A friend of mine ask me to do one at her school as well..(with teachers and staff) I love doing this and feel it's so very important..those of course will be subjects to name just a couple, taught at the event..It's going to be full of education and fun, fun, fun!!!!
