KY conference approved!!

Hello Kentucky!! I got a call from Dr. Monica Ganz last night, she wanted to inform me that next years schedule has been approved and the Kentucky event--scheduled Oct 13-15 is now an official site and date for the 2006 National conference!! I will be working with some KY docs putting this together, and I can't be more excited.. I know this isn't until fall but it takes awhile to work out alot of bugs...after the first of the year I will be traveling down to the area looking at facilities and making arrangements. I will put an update on the board from time to time. Brenda

This is exciting , I just recieved approval for surgery! But I would love to be a part of helping out. Just say the word!

Thank you Marcellia, as time gets closer of course I will be talking to and probably having a meeting with volunteers for the event, right now it's just alot of meetings and putting things together....first getting the facility then second putting the type of event we want together...That will be done with the help of the docs involved as advisors. I am really excited about this so stay in touch and stay tuned...Dr. Ganz will hopefully make it into town before summer, hopefully we can hold some type of volunteer meeting at that time... right now we just need to get the word out and people excited about attending. There is a place here in Somerset that this conference could be held at. It is the Center for Rural Devlopment. It has ties with the Community College here. It hosts many things. We have had the honor to have concerts by famous conutry music artists.

Hi Kira The site for the Kentucky event will be near, around or in Lexington..We are checking out facilities now..I will be in the area after the first of the year to talk to event managers at a couple of hotels and possibly the convention center. It will be an incredible event since this one will be spread over 3 days rather than the 1 day we had here in Cinci.. I will keep you all informed as time grows near. Brenda

The convention center would be great for such an event. I have been there several times for different things.
