Well, I personally think this is too early but my surgeon suggested I go ahead and start researching plastic surgeons. I still have another 50 pounds to lose before I get to where I want to be, but like my surgeon says its never to early to find out what I will have to do to be approved for plastics. My insurance says they will pay for the plastics as long as they are medically necessary. Help! What do I complain about with my bat wings? Sores, rashes? What? I complain about yeast under my breast, tummy, around my "u know who" every time I see my surgeon and about how the skin between my legs rubs together and stays sore, but on the bat wings, what the heck do u complain about!!!! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Insurance generally does not pay for batwings. I have never seen anyone on here that it paid for. will pay for breast lift. You pay for implants and it will pay for tummy tuck. have them put it in as "reconstructive surgery"

I would also suggest you go to a plastic doc that is very familiar with bariatric patients, not only for the skill but also his office is familiar with getting approval. Good luck Brenda
