Ruthann My sister had to self pay back in may. She had the lap band. If i remember correctly she said the gastric bypass would have be almost 23,000 dollars. Her lap band was like 15,000 and i'm almost positive she said it would be 7 to 8 thousand more. Most likely it depends on which hospital and dr. you use. Hope this helps D

The price at Georgetown is about $17,000 through the end of the year. Not sure what the price will be after January 1.
