Support Groups in Northern KY/Cincinnati Area

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew of any support groups after RNY WLS that doesn't require that you were a patient of that particular doctor. Before I was turned down by insurance I really liked the doctor I was going to and they seemed to have a really great follow up program. But now I am having surgery in Mexico and feel really confident about the surgeon but would love to have a local connection with some others that have gone through the same thing. Suggestions anyone? Thanks!

There is a support group in Cincinnati called WLS Butterfly and you can find you info at wlsbutterflynetwork.org/. I hope you can connect with this group. I met some of these ladies at the Cinncinati obesityhelp.com event and they were super. Good luck with your surgery.

Melissa, Dr. Dwayne Smith's office sponsors a Support Group that meets in Northern Kentucky, at the Silver Lakes Rec Center in Erlanger, KY. There is a meeting this Thursday at 7:30PM. I'll be there. I am a patient of theirs, but it is not a requirement. Hope to see yo there!!
