Anyone Use Dr. A.?

Hi ! I was wondering if anyone used Dr argotte in Paducah Ky for GB surgery? Anyone near there that has had GBS? Thanks Flo

I was there but for the second meeting as I did not know they made the last one for long tearm patients .....I stayed anyways as I live over in Mayfield and that is not a drive to make for nothing lol ....are you going to the big party next month? maybe we can meet...No I was just looking for others that were from the area... so where bouts are you? thanks for replying. Yep I had open roux-en-y on April 20, 2004 at Lourdes, with Dr. A...I lived in Mayfield at the time, I know live in Lowes. I am still seeing him for lab check ups. Lost 138 pounds so far. I haven't been to any of the Paducah support groups yet, but am interested in learning more, the one in Mayfield is very small, so I haven't been lately. Amanda Skaggs 312~174~155

I just say Dr. Argotte on Monday, told me not to lose anymore. that is so unreal!! its time to get a huge hernia fixed, its under my sternum and looks like I am pregnant. Donna hello was just wondring how yo was doing if you had your hernia repar TT done yet? I developed a hernia same place and had it repaired and also got the TT.My hernia has come lose now and got to have it repaired again. he is not sure it will evenhold again or not cause its so high up and not much to attache it to. I know I will be lots more carefull this time with it. I plann to have mine done in dec the wk b-4 school is out for christmas. Take Care Huggs Beth

Hi Flo, I had gbs in April of 04' I have lost around 130 pounds and Doctor Argotte is ready to do a hernia repair on me. just put the paperwork in last week. he is a great surgeon! The meetings are great and its nice to see people each month... Donna 277/150ish

Hi Donna! Thanks for replying, I am happy to meet more that have had this surgery by Dr A...... Yes I really like Dr A also, he and I share kidney stones lol~..... He had a stone attack May 3rd and I had one May 5th... Congratulations on the weight loss... I had my surgery March 25th 05....I have lost about 113 at last weigh in which was 2 weeks ago ....but according to my home scales a couple days ago I weighed and I have lost another 10 lbs. ....But I have been so sick since May with kidney stones... just got the last stint out a week ago Tuesday.... took over 8 weeks to get that one stone out... and I had another Attack last night on the other side... I didnt even go to the ER as I know their routine ...I decided I had enough pain pills so just been popping them till Monday....... I will go see my uroligist then... Lourdes has this pee in a cup wait, take an xray wait, go see your doc next week wait, and then after 4 hours in the ER in pain then they decide to give ya a shot.... By then Im dead lol~ well ya know what I mean...... But thats why I didnt go lastnight or today ... I went to the meeting Tuesday Night, first one in several months ... The next one is the party... Hope to see you then ...that is if I'm not in the hospital with a stone as I was Last month... I have sent in my photos to OH but they havent got to them yet... so maybe you all can see me soon and know who I am at the party... This is great to meet all you ladies... Flo
