FIFTY Lbs Gone forever
Yesterday was grand. I'm now 50lbs lighter in just 11 weeks. WOW. It feels great. And to top off my day my husband got home last nite from a month long deployment in Louisiana. Thank the Lord for answered prayers. And thank all of those on this site that have prayed for me in this journey so far.
I know its still a long way to my goal weight, but these small (if you can call 50 lbs small
) increments along the way do remind me of what I did all of this for. I just really wish I would quit losing in the WRONG spots, if you ladies know what I mean
Anyway, just wanted to share my good day.
Thanks again and God Bless
Have a Great Day! I will!!!

301/251/150 - Cool, only 101 lbs or so to go!!! I look at it this way, I'm a third of the way there!

Angi, that is just great!!! I'm still waiting approval, so these posts are very encouraging for me. I'm glad hubby made it home safely, I know that was an additional worry you didn't need. I can't wait to see 50 lbs. disappear. Are you able to walk? Were you able to walk before? Both of my knees need replacement and I'm very concerned about the exercise part of this. I'm hoping to find the money to do water aerobics, I think that would help me, plus it's something I really enjoy. Let me know how you're doing with this! Myra in Shelbyville
Thank you. And I wholeheartedly agree with you, this site is such and encouragement. Now that I'm a bit farther out I don't spend as much time on it as I did right after surgery. I just have so much energy anymore and don't sit around like I did before.
As for walking, I was up to almost 2miles right after surgery then I got lazy
I just recently got a treadmill so I've been trying to do a mile or so each nite. Right now, I'm working on increasing my speed is the reason its not more of a distance. 2.5mph-3mph
is my range now. Once I can do this without feeling like I'm stroking out, I will go for a longer distance. As for my knees, I don't have the problems that you describe. I had problems with my back pre-surgery but knock on wood and thank the Lord, I've not had any episodes since.
I too like water aerobics but its so far for me to go to my local Y I can't participate. In the summer I walked around my above ground pool alot, but we closed it right after labor day.
Well, I had best get back to my homework. Thanks again for your encouragement! Take care and God Bless.
Angi
