Vickie, Hi! Here's a protein drink that always works for me .... 8 ounces of Hood Carb Countdown Fat Free Milk 1 package of Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast 1 table spoon of Jif Peanut Butter (No sugar added flavor) Mix in a blender for 30 seconds and I swear it tastes just like a reece's cup! My best, Charles

that leads to another question Charles, and Vickie might wonder too, I know I do when I see that people mix up a big shake. How do you keep it cold and how long does that last? I mean if we can only consume 2 oz., and need 60 grams of protein - we would need to drink 3 of those shakes within a day..... Whew! Do the math! And then there's a question of how long the protein is 'good'? How does all that work?? Can you all help us newbies??? I mean we can keep it cold in a thermal glass or something, but how do we get it all in?? Do we not go anywhere for the first month so we can eat what we need to eat? And drink what we need to drink? So much to think about, isn't it??

You should ask your doctor before buying anything. My surgeon wouldn't allow me to have anything but liquids (without protein added) for almost 3 weeks. Don't worry about how you are going to get it all down, either. You need to think of what you are going to drink all day. You don't have to down the entire thing in one sitting. The nutritionist I work with said to think of it like water in a sink. If you turn the faucet on full blast, the sink fills up quickly. If you let the water drip, though, it runs straight down the drain. If you sip at the protein drinks, once you are allowed to have them, you'll be able to drink it all. I like Unjury (unjury.com) Powder. I tried the ones from GNC but could not tolerate them. The one good thing about GNC is they will let you return anything that does not work for a full refund. Gook luck...be sure to talk to your doctor.

Vickie, I also had trouble finding a good protein drink without too much sugar. They are all so gritty. I recently purchase the protein pudding at GNC. I think it is yummy chilled. I think it comes in choclate, lemon and banana and vanilla. It has 20 g. of protein , 100 cal and 0 sugar. I just read on another message board that it can be ordered on vitacost.com for $1.49ea and enter promo code #WZ56ACB to get another 5% off. I hope you will like it too. Nikki
