Tummy Tuck/Skin Removal

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting there ins. to cover TT/skin removal? I am 6 years post op, and I need the hanging stuff removed. I went to a local Plastic Surgeon and he FINNALLY agreed to file my insurance. I have requeted chart from WLS surgeon and my OBGYN for referral letters. The surgeon took pics and documented stuff. But I still have not received anything from the other doctors, yet. I just wanted to see how many people have this done or should I look into someone else? Tiffany

Tiffany, I had a tummy tuck with Dr. Sandra Bouzaglou at The Center for Plastic Surgery on Darby Creek Rd in Lexington. The insurance paid for the procedure however, I had a hernia at the time. I think though if you have documentatedthe fact that you have skin rashes or other problems due to the excess skin the insurance may pay for at least part. Dr. B took pictures and my Bariatric surgeon wrote a letter as did Dr. B. One of the things I like about Dr. B. is she stands up for her patients and she stands behind her work. Ihave also had an arm and breast lift with impants. The insurance did not pay for that but,Dr. Bouzaglou has the most reasonable prices that i have found.
