I take one Centrum chewable, Biotin, and Super B Complex daily along with 2 calcium supplements.  I also take sub-lingual B12 twice a week.  Tell you doctor that they cost too much and ask him for a breakout of what is in those so you can see if there is something else comparable that you can get at WalMart or Meijer for less money.  You can also check with your nutritionist to see if they can recommend something else.  Good luck. 3 chewable multi-vitamins (I get the generic!): in the AM (+4 hrs after my synthroid...they can affect the synthroids effectiveness) 2 citrical (1 is normal for non-WLS people but I think 3 is recommended for post-ops): in the PM (+4 hrs after my other vitamins...Calcium can interefere with the multi-vitamins effectiveness) 1 B12 Sublingual: 2x a week 1 B1: 1x a week (100 mcg) 1 Biotin: Daily (I think 300 mcg is recommended...I do closer to 500 mcg) ......And a Partridge in a Pear Tree..... Brandy, I take daily:     2 chewable multi-vitamins

                         2 calcium

                         2 iron

                         2 fish oil

                         1 biotin

1 B complex Weekly:            1 B12 (sub-lingual) I am 3 months out.  I just had blood work done, but haven't heard the results of that yet.  I suppose if there is anything off, they will adjust what I take. Donna

I take 2 Weight-smart multi-vitamin/mineral (generic WalMart brand), 1 Super B Complex, 1 Omega-3, 1 Biotin (5000 mcg), 2 iron supplements and 2 calcium citrate caplets daily.  I also take 2 B-12 injections each month. I buy all of mine over the counter, except for the B-12.  The mega dose Biotin causes me to shave my legs daily, but my hair is looking great.   Note on the B-12:  I was paying a $10 monthly co-pay for a single dose.  The last time I saw Dr. Inman she wrote for a 30 cc multi-dose bottle (a year's supply at 2x monthly injections).  The insurance wouldn't cover the full year dose but the full price cost was only $14.99!!!   How crazy is that????   I paid for it out of pocket with a BIG smile on my face.

I thought the Optisource were too expensive also but with my lifestyle they were the only ones for me.  Its sooo convenient AND just think...all the money you save on groceries you will help you afford Optisource.  I also take a Multiple B complex.  We didn't think twice about going to a drive thru and spending money on junk food but we hesitate to spend money on vitamins.  Like I said, I know they sound high but they're everything we need rolled up in one!
