Hey everyone, I went to my new doctor yesterday and she has given me a prescription for B12 injections to help increase my energy level. However, I did not ask, and she did not tell me if there is a preferred way or suggestions on the best way to give myself the injections. Can anyone provide me with some guidance? Thanks Kelli

Ew, I couldn't give them to myself, I don't think. I get my B12 shots at the doctor's office. Linda Vicory

I "shoot myself" every month. I alternate between right and left thighs. I had to learn to give myself shots a few years ago when I was diagnosed with MS. It's pretty easy. Your PCP's office should be able to give you a quick training session, or just ask any insulin dependent diabetic. It's a simple procedure. Annette

Hi Kelli, Just give the shots in the fatty part of your thighs. Alternate sites every month. You should do fine. The needle is very small. Kind of like an insulin needle. I do my own. Good luck, Alice

Kelli I inject mine in the muscle on the back of my upper arm. Remember to stick it in and do not pu**** in. Dan

I use the B12 injections too and i give them to myself in the fatty part of my tummy, just like the blood thinner after surgery, i just grab a little of the lose skin and give it there, its painless and easy. i was scared to death the first time but its no biggie. Good Luck Carla
