I'm getting anxious and am ready! My date is the 14th (Monday) and after approximately a year of starting this process the date is near. I have a good doctor and am confident in his ability. Just the usual jitters I guess. I can't even imagine how different I'll be in a year. I've lost approximately 12 lbs so far on my two week (three more days to go) liquid diet. How long did most of you stay in the hospital after surgery? I'll be in three nights. Anything I should know before to help with the process of healing??!!

Stacy congratulations on your surgery on Monday. Jitters are of course normal as I am sure you are aware of. I had surgery on I believe it was Tuesday and I was home on Friday. Just remember to sip, sip, sip and take all of your vitamins. Don't get overwhelmed when you can't get everything you are supposed to get in, (fluids, vitamins, protein etc) in. You will eventually be able to. Just do your best and don't forget to walk and sip and most importantly rest. A year from now you are going to be going WOW, I can't believe this is me. Actually you will be doing it sooner than a year. Best of luck on your journey and be sure to let us here on the board know how you are doing. If you don't have anyone who can post for you, you can have someone call anyone of us and let us know when you are out of surgery, how it went etc and we will post an update for you. If you would like my number so someone can call e-mail me and I will send it to you. Have an awesome weekend and will be waiting to hear how you are doing.. Get ready for the ride of your life, you will love it.. Dawn

Thank you for your concern. Hopefully my husband will be able to post. I will be in the hospital for three nights. I should get the call tomorrow to tell me what time to go to the hospital. I can't believe the time is here!!!
