I AM NOW BIONTIC

Hi everyone. Well I made it thru the surgery ok yesterday. It was an interesting experience. They did the surgery with a sedative since I had to be able to talk to the technician after they hooked up the wires to the stimulator. They gave me enough juice so I did not feel the pain but was able to answer questions. The surgery took right at 3 hours. We got home about 6:00 last night. Did not sleep much last night because I could not get into a confortable position where the staples did not hurt. Ann called awhile ago to get me some pain meds. I just cannot get confortable. The stimulator is working fine and the back pain is pretty much gone. I go in next Wednesday to have the staples removed and get instructions on how to charge the unit, etc. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I just glad it is over, now I have to heal and should be ready to go. Dan

Papa, That is great news. I was so worried about u yesterday and I have been watching the post closely to see if Ann or someone would post on how u were doing. Im so glad that the stimulator is working for you and u have no back pain. Im sure those staples will be the worst part of it. Hopefully in a week you will be good as new. Dan, Glad to here that your surgery went well. Hope youcan get some rest tonight. I'm sure you will feel much better once the staples are removed. Having suffered with back pain most of my adult life, I can appreciate what a relief this must be for you. I'm very happy things are working out. Cindy
