UPDATE ON JENNIE

Here is the latest update I received from Tom Biggs. Dan *********************************************** Dear friends and family, We just found out this evening that Jennie is having surgery 1:00 or 2:00 tomorrow afternoon. They are going to put stents inside the fistulas in her wound. This will be the surgeons first time performing this new procedure. The hope is that these stents will scar off the fistulas and heal them. The down side is that the stents may migrate in the bowel, which would require another surgery to remove them. Weekly X-rays will determine if they are moving or not. While we are hopeful that the procedure is successful, we are somewhat apprehensive at the same time. Regardless, we covet your prayers and want to thank you for standing with us so far. Please join me tomorrow afternoon as I lift up Dr. Gupta and her surgical staff, and my dear Jennie to our Heavenly Father in prayer. MY goodness Dan what more can this presious woman (family) go thru.?? There are so many side effects to Obesity that people just dont understand. Hopefully instead of scareing people off from the surgery it will scare them off from loosing control of good healthy ways of living. We got fat and ruined our bodies and now we suffer from the effects all that weight had on our bodies.. my knees, your back and knees.. etc... Obesity is an illness, just like alcholics we are addicted to things we shouldn't be. Whenever my dad went on the wagon and stopped drinking he would eat candybars like there was no tomorrow. It is the sugar in the wine that kept him coming back just like the sugar in the carbs we shouldn't be eatting.. My prayers are for jeannie and her family during this time of healing. Linda Kay
