Hair on my chinny *****hin!!
So I have been wanting to ask this for a long time, but didn't want you all looking at me and trying to count all the little black hairs on my chin when you see me. So since I am moving and don't think I will be seeing too many of ya'll in Texas, I decided to put this out there!!!! Who has black chin hairs????? I can't be the only one! I have had PCOD for ever and I get about 12- 15 black chin hairs! I hate them!!! I pluck just as often as I look in the mirror, but there is always just one more that needs to be pulled! I can often feel them, but can't see them or get the tweezers around them. I used to have my daughters help spot them and pull them, but they wont do that for me any more. I have a terrible time seeing them and my husband hates to get them for me. So I was wondering how you guys deal with them and if anyone has had the laser hair removal thing done? I was told that even though I am thin and have had a hysterectomy, that the ones I have had will always come back, but that I shouldn't get new ones now that I have lost the weight. Have any of you heard that? Or does anyone have first hand knowledge about that? I am self conscience about this issue, but feel that I must not be the only one with this problem. You guys have always been so full of information and honest, that I just know someone can help me, or at least offer a little sympathy!!! I would rather die with a hairy chin than from obesity!!! But still, I would like to be thin and not have more hair on my chin than my head!!!!
Blessing and pluckings,
Carmen
PS I am so glad that Vicki is doing so well!!!
Oh my gosh Carmen, You are not the only one, with the hair on the chinny chin, I have been batteling 3 dark hairs on my chin for almost 8 years, and I have blonde hair I don't even have that dark of leg hairs. I once told a friend that if she ever came to visit me in a nursing home to please please pull those 2-3 black hairs out for me and she just laughed. I have wanted to do the electrologist(sp) stuff done on those 3 area , they would just zap them with a waund and just maybe it would kill the hair falical away. But for now I just check the old chin out about every 2 months unless one just pops out.

I've called about laser removal, and the only place around here costs $190.00 just for the chin, and even then you have to get 4 to 6 treatnents at 190 EACH!! Ouch.
Where in TX are you going to? I have family in Laredo and Freer and I visit them every so often. I might have to drag Pam out for a road trip!

I beat you my dear... i have a full fledged beard.. you know that bearded lady at the circus... yeah that's me. Thanks to PCOD. I have had laser hair removal and here are some tips I can give you
One) Call you dr's office... my whole face at my dr's office was $175.00 a session where as at one of those laser hair treatment centers it was over $300.00, since I had my whole face done and you nly have yours on your chin it wont be so much, but I highly recommend talking to a physician about a dr's office you can get it done at.
2) YOu are going to have to have multiple sessions but they will go away as long as your horomones are balanced, and it is true the ones that you already have will not go away with weight loss or horomone balancing, the only way is electrolysis or laser hair removal. The stronger you can stand the laser the less sessions you have to get
3) It feels like a tattoo... it is uncomfortable but it's worth it...
I got it done and then tried to get pregnant and some of them came back so after i lose all this weight i am going to get it done again...
Hope that helps, now tell me how you started running... I really want to do that I wasn't kidding.. hope you got to Texas alright

I figured i got mine becasue of my hysterectmy.. I personally shave once a week.. creams just dont seem to get it..
But here is a funny one I get on my butt!! I notice it when it gets about 3 inches long... I pull it about every 3 months.. weird!!
I figured it was the price I had to pay not having a period since I was 27!!! YEA!!

Carmen,
You gave me a good laugh this morning. I have one that crops up, but I just thought it was a gift of being 50+. The sad part about mine is that it started out black, but is now gray. I have trouble seeing it, but with a magnifying mirror, it makes it a lot easier. So, with just one, it is easy to pluck.
Best,
Donna
I just pluck. (my mustashe also) A couple times a year I do a wax on upper lip and chin when I do eye brows. One that I have on the jaw line comes out of mole and is so tuff the wax doesn't get it so it has to be plucked. As you can see you are not alone in this battle. Sure gonna miss seeing you at local get togethers but I'm sure you'll stay in contact on here after your move. Good luck with the move.
