April 5th....im ready.
Ive not been posting or going into the chat room for fear that i might see something that will scare me off.
i have had my "last supper" and im ready to move along with life. I think that im ready and my wife has been getting all the stuff ready for the trip to St. V's.
Ive been so scared of something stupid happening to me that i walk away from customers that sound sick and for some reason broke out with a small rash on my arm that ive got to go away......amazing how the little things are worrying me so much now.
I try not to think of the negative and bad thoughts but they are lurking in my head now and will not stop. Coming to terms with everything and thinking about the "what ifs" is starting to weigh on me but my chin is up and so is my attitude so im fine with that.
I took my race car out to a open house and in typical Troy fashion and my win it or wear it attitude, i tore it up on the chassis dyno and just kinda laughed about it......oh well. Hoping my guys will "overhaul " it while im laid up and it will be ready to race when I am.
This will be my last post till i get home. If Kathy can figure it out, i will have her update while im inside.
Thank you all for your support and my friends will be in my thoguhts while im away.
Rest assured all your worries are ones we have all gone thru. I had to chuckle over the not being around anyone sick...I was downright paranoid before my surgery...lol everyone seemed to be coughing and hacking my way....lol You will be fine and look back soon and laugh! Take care and we will soon see you on the loosing side!! Tell Kathy our prayers are with her too!

Hello all, this is Troy's wife Kathy. We strolled in to St. V's around 6:00 a.m. and after meeting with the doctors and staff Troy was walked in to the operating room around 8:30 a.m. Dr. Inman came out about 10:05 a.m. with an update. She said surgery went GREAT!!! She gave him extra numbing medicine around his stomach area to keep the pain down. Also, she said she has medicine orders to keep his pain under control. Troy has been in the recovery room now for about 45 minutes. Then they will take him to his room.. I would like to thank all you for being here for Troy and giving us your support. It means so much to us. I will give y'all an update once we see how he's doing.
Well it is 5:00 p.m. April 5th and Troy is doing excellent. He has been up walking twice and has made the complete lap around the wing each time. His vitals are great and he has been using his spirometer. The first time he blew a 2600 and this second time he blew a 2750. The nurses here are GREAT!!! Very friendly and very helpful. Dr. Inman called about 15 minutes ago to check on him. He is having quite a bit of pain but they say it's normal. The nurse has given him a couple shots of pain medicine so far. Each time we get up to walk the pain worsens, so when we get back she gives him the Dilatin (not sure if this is the correct spelling). According to the RN if he keeps going the way he is then we should be out of here on Friday. Stay tuned for another update....
