Tuesday

Good morning everyone! Wow! Yesterday was a kick Sherri's butt day! I was really, really busy at work. Then I get a call from Dr. Bergman's office. The mammagram report said that the results were "probably benign". Probably??? So...I go see a breast surgeon next Tuesday to have the doubt removed one way or another. I'll keep you all informed (of course..lol). Then I get home...Cindy (my sister that owes me $$$ sent her first re-court-ordered money order. First, she bought it at the post office instead of getting it free at her bank (~$1-$2), then she sends it registered mail (~$5). On the envelope & the money order, between my first & last names, is a little squigley line that I had to put my glasses on the see what the heck it is. She thought she'd be cute I guess by giving me the middle initials of "FU". Yes, I made of copy of the money order and have it with the envelope...should I have to take her back to court...which, if I can't ca**** I will have to. Now..how petty? We decided at work that I have new middle names...Florence Ursela...lol! So..all in all, yesterday wasn't the best day in the world. Compared to 'maybe' having breast cancer though, Cindy's crap was so minor. Hey..she's an RN...wouldn't you LOVE having HER as your nurse though??? Today is Annette & Ellen's surgeries. Let's keep them in our thoughts & prayers today...k? Congrats to all the newbies!! Linda..hope you're feeling better. I know when I went through my KBS, I was so relieved after the surgery to be able to get through the night without their kinking waking me up in pain. Oh...we had a good time at Fun Spot. Amusement Park and Zoo in Angola. It's very appropriate for those who have small kids. Older kids (~6th grade and up) would probably be bored there. The prices were reasonable too. We stayed at Circle B campgrounds. Chance got his first experience of swimming in a lake. There were 3 playgrounds, boat docks/rentals, fishing, bike rentals, volleybal/basketball/horse shoes. Lots to do!  Well..another busy day! Have a good one! Sherri

Hey Sherri, sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Here's to hoping today's better, right? I am kind of bummed. I don't think I can get off work to go to Vegas for Labor Day after all. It's a sale weekend. Will have to plan for a different time. Oh well, it'll probably be cheaper if we can plan ahead more and go on a non-holiday weekend, anyway.  Today I have to take the kids into the doctor for their checkups. My son is all pouty about that. He doesn't like doctors. He's always afraid of having to get shots. Sigh. So this should be an interesting morning!

Linda, If you check at Vegas.com, you can check on hotel rates. The week between Christmas & New Year's usually offers terrific rates...downtown and on the strip. If you plan on bringing the kids with you, Circus Circus usually has specials as well. What airline are you going through? If you take Northwest, sign up for their mileage (it's free) so that your miles can go toward earning you a free flight later on. Their flights are usually non-stop and seat assigned. Southwest, we usually had a lay-over in AZ and the seats were 1 come, 1st get...can be hard to sit all together that way! Sherri

Well it's tuesday and that means 3 more days until my evanescence concert!!! Boy it's going to be a hot bugger on friday though... I can not get motivated to work out.. I was going to walk when I got home yesterday before I had to take Bubby to the vet but it just felt so nicein the house i didn't want to go back out. Then I didn't get home from the vet until 9 and i can't work out that late or i'll never get to sleep... It's so frustrating trying to work out a new schedule. Tonight I'm going to kick boxing if they haven't cancelled the class... I had to take the dog to the vet yesterday to have his bandage changed. He was a good boy and now has a blue cast on. He goes back in a week because there was a sore spot on his foot that they want to make sure gets to heal up properly. My poor baby

Sherri... I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that it's benign.. better safe than sorry though. I'm glad you had fun in Angola. I love petty people... don't you? Sorry your sister is being such a ***** about this whole thing.. but we would expect nothing less from her would we? Keep your head up chickie

Linda, vegas is packed on labor day weekend and the hotels are hella expensive it would be cheaper to go another weekend... good luck with that and that sucks you an't go...

Sorry you are having a bad time right now.  I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that all is good with your surgeon visit. Florence Ursela....now that is funny!  I cant believe your sister would be like that.  Some people can be really childish.  She dont work at St. V's does she?  Hope not, I wouldnt want her as a nurse. Jenny, Cindy lives in West Terre Haute. She's worked at all the local hospitals in the Terre Haute area. She'd work at one for a few years and the other one would offer a quarter more an hour or whatever so she'd switch. A few years later, she'd try to up her pay or lower her hours and switch again. No loayalty what-so-ever. She is now a coordinator for clinical trials through Union Hospital. Supposedly..a professional office personel. Hmmm...the kind of professionalism that she displays would NEVER fly here at Lilly's. I'm sure they'll see through her eventually..and then she can start pedalling herself off to the highest bidder amongst the hospital again. Lucky for her that there's a nursing shortage too, huh? Sherri ps...yep, we're still chucking over ole Flo Uresla! LOL!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayer Sherri, that everything is okay.  Also praying for Ellen & Annette as well.  I have a tooth that needs pulled today.  I'm hoping it won't cost much- we're on a super tight budget with the move coming up in a week.  Well, possibly not as tight as previously though.  My brother was supposed to tow our uhaul trailer for us, with all of our stuff in it.  And now ( a week before we leave) he's informed me that he can't afford to go.  SIGHS.  So it looks like I might have to leave everything that won't fit in the jeep with us, Gwyn and the dogs behind.  And that REALLY ****** me off.  Our jeep isn't wired to tow a trailer, and it's like $200 to get it done.  And we just don't have it if we're going to have enough gas to get all the way to KC.  It's not like this move was planned in advance.  Coordinating a 500 mile move on two paychecks... well, I just don't suggest it! I hear ya about working out Jess.  It's the bugs keeping me indoors.  I'm about out of blood!  With the heat index being so high, I just don't feel comfortable being out and about.  If my blood pressure dropped while I was out there, it could mean big trouble.
