Hi all! It's Monday again! Not a bad one though. The kids actually got up and dressed without too much fussing. So that's a good omen. I have a question for those who might know. Hubby and I are thinking of going to Las Vegas over the Labor Day weekend. Do you need a rental car there, or do like, hotels offer transportation to the airport? I am so excited about the idea of going. I have been looking at travel sites all weekend. I have to find out if I would be able to have off from work tho.  My boss is finally going to be back this week at my regular job. He was gone for about 6 weeks. He was on vacation for 4 visiting him mom overseas, but then she got really ill and needed open heart surgery, so he stayed longer. Will be glad to see him back.

Linda Vegas is SO much fun!!! It costs about 20.00 to take a cab from the airport to the hotels on the strips... some of the hotels offer transportation you'll just have to ask... Parking and driving in Vegas are HELL... So i wouldn't recommend getting a rental car especially if it's your first time there. They have monorails between many of the hotels to make the walk faster and easier to go inbetween. That sounds like so much fun I can't wait to go back I love Vegas. My grandparents lived there for years and I would stay with them a lot.

It's monday and off to work i go nothing like a rainy monday and it's going to be hotter than hell... Ah well at least i'm in air conditioning... My sisters bachelorette party went fantastic except for ONE little thing. I took a shot of tequila, (wasn't thinking, the only thing I though was my pouch is big enough to hold all this now) BIG MISTAKE>>> As soon as i got it down my stomach said "YOU STUPID B&*(&!!!" Luckily I didn't get sick but my stomach has been upset since... It did make me drunk for about an hour Should've stuck with my trusty ol rum and pineapple juice... Well talk to everyone later.. hope they're week starts out good.

Linda, We go to Vegas at least once a year.  Driving is crazy and there is the trolley on the strip, and the monorail between casinos.  Taxis aren't that expensive.  It's fun to walk the strip too.  There is a complimentary shuttle from Harrah's to the airport that anyone can take.  It's out back where the buses stop from the various casinos to load and unload passengers.  There is a shuttle bus from the Rio, Sam's Town, the trolley, the airport shuttle and I think some other casinos.  You will have a ball.  I know I do everytime I go. Hi Everyone,  Today I am running in circles- trying to get the camper ready, groceries in, take care of last minute things, fixing food for a friend who's Mom is in critical condition, & taking the boys in for their sports physicals, since Amy has been having horrible pain all weekend. They did the fetal ultrasound & she is trying for more room & he's all stretched out & not giving an inch. Good news- they are ok, Aiden is 1#12oz. & Bethany is 1#9 oz., right where they should be for twins. They have everything but a crib now, so hopefully that will come in the next 2-3 months. People have showered them with so many blessings for these "unexpected blessings". Darrah, thank you again for all the little girl goodies! Last night I went for a 1 1/2 hr. walk with Travis- he is going out for cross country, and about wore me out!!It was still in the upper 80's nd I was dripping when I got home! We had good conversation & a few laughs along the way. Annette, I have to be at the Hospital tomorrow by 12:30 and anm hoping to check on you  before I go. You know I'm praying for as quick recovery for you- you  new little "hottie"! Have a great week everyone- if I'm not online for a few days I know you'll all understand- I am so ready to get this over with! (((hugs ))) Ellen

Ellen, you are VERY welcome!  I wish that the seasons of clothing I had were better suited to their sizes.  Good luck with your surgery tomorrow, you'll sure be in my prayers! I have been eaten alive.  I've been hanging our laundry on the clothes lines i rigged up in the back yard because it's just been too darned hot to run our dryer.  I am SMOTHERED in bug bites now.  Chris was rubbing benadryl on my back last night, and started out going bite by bite.  He ended up saying "honey, theres just so many, i should just rub it all over your back."  ANd so a tube of benadryl later, I was comfortable for about an hour.   I'm going to try the meat tenderizer trick Jess told me about at the exchange.  This is worse than chicken pox, and everytime i get close to the door, i end up with 10-15 new bites.  So I'm shacking up for a few days. Luckily, Gwyn does not seem to have the same appeal to the bugs that I do.

Wow, Monday already.  I can't believe surgery is tomorrow.  I am nervous and I'm not sure why, these things don't normally get to me. Sorry I missed the clothing exchange but the birthday party was fun.  I'll post a picture of me in my poodle skirt soon.  It sounds like y'all had a great time.   Darrah, try making some very strong chamomile tea and blotting it on with a cotton ball.  It works great and is safe around the baby.  I learned that technique from an old German woman when my daughter had chicken pox at 22 months! I can't believe that schools are starting again.  It doesn't seem like summer is very long at all anymore. Tonight I'm getting the house ready for my recovery...videos, books, coloring books and crayons.  Don't laugh, I KNOW y'all still like to color too.  I got a new box of 64 and coloring books of Victorian houses and stained glass window designs. Take care and I will post as soon as the drugs wear off.

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...

Annette, I still like to color, when I was in the hospital in Dec. My friend brought me a coloring book and crayons. It passed the time nicely. Good luck with your surgery, you also Ellen. I'll be thinking of you both.   Cheryl
