This may not be the place to post this question but I need some help soon. I ha an RNY 2/10/2004 went back in 2/10/2005 for a perforated Ulcer. Since then I have not seem the surgeon who did my surgery. No calls , nothing... I was wondering if anybody knows of a Bariatric surgeon who would take me as a patient? I know I need to have an endoscopy done, and I would just feel more comfortable having someone, in case I have problems. you can email off list at: [email protected]  if you know of a doctor i could get...Thank You all in advance..Hugs..

Well since Im a nurse I dont like to push Drs for fear someone will think something about it.  However,  I did alot of research before I had my surgery...knowing the business and wanting only the very best Dr in the tri-state area.  I found that Jones, Gupta and Cacucci are tops in their field.  I ended up with Dr Cacucci but would have loved any of the three.  I would suggest you contact their office at St. Vincents Hospital.

I had Dr Throop in Evansville and wasn't real impressed with follow up either.  But did you know there is a new Bariatric Surgeon at Memorial in Jasper I think they are open now or they will be this month I don't know anything about them but I know it's close to home for you. Good Luck Tina

Hi Tina,  thank you for responding. Yes, I am checking on the Bariatric Doctor in Jasper, but he is out of town until Next Tuesday. I have spoke with his staff though. Very nice. Didn't think it would be a problem to take me on but would ask him when he got back. Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that he will take me. yes, he is close. You know my surgeon and you surgeon are partners.. Imagine That! Who would have guessed? lol Hugs

Good Luck hope it all works out.  Let me know if you get to go to them and like them.  I would like to find some one else closer for follow ups and any support groups that start up.  All of my follow ups are now on hold(I've lost my insurance) but closer would be nice. Tina
