:( never ending heaves..

I am feeling sooo sick to my stomach that even forcing water is making me have the heaves and im sipping slowly. at his rate im terrified to even try anything bu****er :( im taking phennergin and thats not even helping hardly. do any of you have any suggestions?

I never had this problem,.. but I would think, if you can't ge****er down even, you need to call the surgeon so they can tell you what to do. Just my thoughts.

I had some nausea start at about the 3rd day and had trouble drinking as well.  I also developed diarrhea about that same time.  I ended up being dehydrated and needing some IV fluids.  Much of my problem was related to the oral antibiotic I was on.  Dr. Jones discontinued the antibiotic and within a day I was feeling great.  If you are taking the liquid Loratab or an antibiotic those may be contributing to your nausea.  I totally agree with the above comment -- if you can't drink, call your Dr!!  You can become dehydrated very quickly.  Hang in there, it does get better. Misty  Call your Dr. I started vomiting the day after I got home. Up until that time I was able to eat or drink anything I had to. I had to go back to the hospital and they found a small bowel obstruction. I had to stay about a week with an NG tube down to releive pressure and Iv fluids and tpn feedings to wait for the new rou limb to open and start working. Thank God I didn't have to go back to surgery. Sometimes it takes a little bit for the plumbing to wake up and do it's job.  Good Luck Cheryl

Hey Misty,  Call your Dr. & if you can't get her, have your hubby take you to St.V's again-you need that checked out fast!! They can figure out whats going on & get you back to feeling better quickly! I'm thinking of you & sending up prayers! (((hugs))) Ellen

They sent me home with a PICC line because I was struggling while in the hospital to get all my fluids and i was still getting a lot of IV fluids.  i was supposed to have a home health nurse come check on my picc line and all this morning but the company st vs contacted refused the case because its too far. We've been on the phone all morning and Dr Diaz is covering for Cacucci and he is going to try and find out what my exact orders are.  So far this morning I've only been able to get bout 6 oz of water in (my mom and hubby let me sleep like 9 hours though sooo im really feeling weak) and I've got probally about 6 oz of my protein shake so far.  they checked for an obstruction on thursday and it was okay, if i can't get to feeling any better soon i think im gonna try and go to the er and see if i can get some fluids, the heaving isn't near as bad right now but its still there.
